What are the strongest rods available for the ZX-12? Carillo? Prices and sources? Thanks.

I know the carrilo rods are supposed to be the best, but they are also aroud 220 each from anyof the suppliers. the best price I found was 209. I saw where Ryan Posted that the stock rods are extremely Strong. and that they are using those in the drag bikes still?

Carrillo are still the best there is. The 12 rod is plenty strong BUT, the nut & bolt approach Kaw uses makes it nearly impossible to get the proper & even bearing clearance. I put them in when I went to 1290, after you see & compare the stock Busa rods to our 12 I went with carrillo, I figured better safe than sorry. Kaw is the only jap make left(I THINK) to use a nut & bolt system on the rods, threaded rod ends are better.
