Kitchen is DONE! Pics

Had a few delays along the way, had to wait for an piece of crown molding the cabinet maker shorted me (3 weeks) had to wait for the granite, had to wait for the island legs. BUt in the end all is well. Got the island legs and window casings and baseboards done this weekend. I had bought the stain for the cabinet makers to match the cabinets and the island legs turned out great and the window casings too.

I'm real pleased with the tile job I did, it was a good amount of work but then again everything I've done in this home has been.

I have 2 more bar stools on order, they should be here this week.

After using the kitchen for a while now I would do one thing different, I would have added one more 15" upper and lower cab to the left of the dishwasher between it and the pantry. But, it's not a big deal, I just would have done it.

I didn't really have a budget. I just bought the stuff I needed and did it. I think when all is said and done, including all new appliances I have probably...crap I don't really know, don't really care to be honest cause it's what we wanted. I know it's not as high as it could be cause I did everything myself.

That's enough honey-do to warrant adding another bike to the stable. Very nice.

I know Vincent I really wanted to design the kitchen around a nice big 42" commercial stove but it cost over $5K so I bailed on that and had to tone down.

TONE DOWN? Okay... maybe... since there is also no 42" plasma screen.

So if I come up there in Feb. when Rick is do his tutu dance and Harry's doing his "Tom Turkey" (gobble, gobble), does the me your going to run around wearing nothing but that damn frilly "Kiss the cook" apron again?

Tutu, that's just plain WRONG!!!!!!!!!

Goddamned gettin' smoked on a fuckin' Betty Crocker thread????

Next month when I'm there I'll do a little "revampin" to the kitchen, free of charge.

Where's the best place in Detroit to rent an air compressor, jackhammer, and oh yeah.............a bulldozer. A D5 Caterpillar should work nicely. I'll need site delivery and pick-up too.

Crazy sumbitch, you will pay for the tutu remark, and dearly I might add.

You won't need all that. Just feed Harry some burritos. It'll be a toxic waste site in about 30 minutes and require federal Super Fund clean up money... when its actually safe to get close enough to the house again.
