Ram air efficacy

Hey Doug:

I was reading through my zx12r articles and found that the bike you ran to 199mph with only the muzzy pipe dynoed at 168.9 h.p. This was dynoed by cycle world..

I believe you ran 192.375 on a 0.9 mile run at maxton.. (box stock with proper cam timing) If it takes so much horsepower to run 200 mph this means that the ram air system is working REALLY WELL..

Back when I tested the Hans Snorkel, I discovered that the Stock Snorkel gives you almost a Pound of Boost over Static readings on the Dyno (sitting still).

Note: That's not a Pound over Ambient BTW. Still impressive concidering that the engine does not have to draw from a vacuume environment after 40 mph!!!
