Lucky found!
After about a month of keeping an ear to the ground Mark Day's Lucky12 has been located... Credit isn't mine for the find, but I did pass the contact info to Mark. This bike is still the measuring stick from which other street ridden 12s are graded. Power & Suspension in a single package.
Please buy it back Mark before I go and do something stupid like make room for it at my house. (that's what I need another 12)

Blitz...... Mark Days bike was a work of art and way aheard of most every other 12 in it's day and NOW! A Lee's 1270 that produced over 205hp and a chasis that was ahead of the class. ZX7R swingarm and top shelf supension parts. All wrapped up in a perfectly maintained spotlessly clean package. Oh! and Mark rode the damn thing like a rented mule! The bike was sold, but remained in the knoxville area. Hasn't been rode but about 300 miles since Mark let it go. I guess it demands so much respect that the faint of heart need NOT apply. The Bike is a Legend in these parts. All to aften these type of bikes fall into the hands of riders that quickly find themselves in the deep in of the pool and scrap them, and sometimes themselves along the way. This don't seem like the case this time. Mark ask me a few weeks back if it was still around. I started asking about and the phone ring tonight. I hope he buys it back so I won't be forced to save it myself. I have too many projects already.

Yea I sure miss that bike. Rog and I would like nothing more to see Mark back on it! When I washed mine 2 months ago I was so close to making a claim on my insurance so I could get mine totaled and buy his off ebay. But then I thought hell I am almost there with mine. Still trying to talk Rog into doing another 7R swingarm swap on mine. Needless to say its good to see that the owner has not trashed all the work that was done.

Yeah that 12R is kick-ass for sure. I'm glad to say that I've ridden it on more than one occassion. It was a lot of fun on the gap, especially with the 7R swingarm. The bike felt really well sorted suspension wise and had mucho motor. But I still say the bike really shined on the Skyway. You could really feel the extra HP up top and had the chassis and brakes to deal with the added MPH when it come time to lean 'er over. 
I will say this though, the fuel map was never right on the bike. Mark talked to me about it several times. I think it'd be even more of a beast with a good map. That bike needs to find an owner that will appreciate it, and ride it like it was meant to be ridden. Otherwise it is a sad waste of a fine machine.

I loved that bike, the fastest thing I've ever ridden. Man that thing pulled and pulled. Great handling too. I didn't want to get off it. The speed shifter took a bit to get used to though.

Yup, that picture is a scene that I've seen play out many times. Lucky cleaning on his bike, the fucker even cleaned his tires. I can remember talking to him before and after Gap events. He'd be telling me how many hours he had in cleaning the bike and making sure it was ready.
Remember that time he and Steven had their clubs up at the cabins and were hitting the practice balls? I hadn't swung a club in a couple years and I went and tried my luck. Caught that fucker pure, and it went hard and straight.................................................................
right into the side of Lucky's bike!!!! DOH!!!!!!!!!! 
You remember that Chris, that friggin' practice ball went twice as far as what it should have.

Dude that's just how my luck goes. Even though he eventually blew it off, he did do a 1000 point inspection on the bike.
Hell Steven didn't even hit the ball and we were both looking for some place to hide. LOL
You bastards were over on the porch dumping gas on the fire at a rate of about 250gpm. The love was ever present.

Rick, you and Otis fuck me up,I know every time the bike was not running she was getting cleaned. I was raised old school so if it was worth spending money on it was worth taken care of. Dam i had some great time on that bike, and you motherfucker were a big part of that by showing up at the Gap event's. You know i miss the bike but i also miss riding and hangen out with you cats.

Ever since I watched Larry the Cable guy I've been saying that. It's hilarious. I don't think even wanted to ride my 12 when we traded that day cause I didn't spent 21,432 hours leaning it. I'm more on Harry's side on this deal. Ride the damn thing and occasionally clean it.
