I've yet to find a set of frame sliders for the 12. Need to find something that mounts solid.

mine went off the stand about a month ago, busted the clutch cover wide open, broken front fairing, mirror, bracket, etc, etc, etc. At least the plastic or the pipe wasn't on mine....As far as the covers go, I've got all mine painted satin black and they turned out GREAT! I put on a few satin clearcoats over the top too, they're very resistent and take a good shot (except when the bike goes down )

My local dealer has them in stock. http://www.kawimotorsports.com/

However they mount with a skinny little 5mm bolt (I assume it's the "main" fairing mount on each side where it screws to the little mount on the side of the cylinder.) It looks so flimsy I didn't buy it. I guess it would be enough for a tip-over, not a crash. I'm sure that lil' bolt would break easily...

hey 22348382904284457593597

Nothing in particular to watch out for, I guess the only thing I'd do different if I had to do it again would be to just leave the stock goldish color on the cases and just make sure that they're VERY clean before priming/painting. The paint that's on there is baked on pretty good and it's a bitch to remove it so I don't think it'd hurt to leave it on and just paint over it. Good luck and be patient, if you've got any more ?'s let me know

Hey silver...

...you can call me CVC, but 9348603947675893689745874258 is just as good, too ...thanks for the tip...I think I'll tackle it when I do my next oil change...I'm thinking about using hi-temp black caliper paint...definitely doing the three calipers, and might even do the fork lowers, too...

I did all my calipers, all engine covers, and rotor mounts in satin black, one engine cover at a time. I made sure to use quality paint that could take the heat and two satin clear coats on everything. I'll have to have the fork tubes anodized in black since with two coats of paint and two clear coats it's too thick to get through the triple clamps without fuckin' it all up.

powder coat

I plan to paint the lowers only (the part where the calipers and axel attach)...maybe powder coat it the same time I powder coat the swingarm, heel guards, levers, etc., but I'll wait until I get my second bike...can't stand to have ANY no-riding down time

I did the heel guards the same way too and they turned out great, I've found the clearcoats to add a lot of durability. I'm going to have my swingarm powdercoated though cause that takes more of a beating than any of the other stuff. Let me see if I can dig up some pics of mine...before the 0 mph garage get off of course

Silver.....your bike looks great. Very clean. The whole bike looks very slim and streamlined......the front signals gotta go though. What are you going to replace them with?

AND......what did you do with your rear fender? Did you cut the stock one or get an undertail kit? I really like your bike.....it's enough to make me replace my red plastic with silver. hmmmm......might be a good idea.

uh, yeah, those speed brakes will be going as soon as I get some money saved I want to get some Huge Ind. blinkers for the front and back, the dark tinted ones. The rear fender is is just the stocker that's been cut off. I moved the plate bracket up to where the reflector was to clean it up. Thanks for the compliments guys
