I understand all of that Harry, my point is that you know when the dates usually fall.
You know the old saying, lack of planning on your part doesn't constitute an emergency on my part.

Right now I'm calculating, and the best I can do is the 8th - 13th. That is if something else doesn't come up. Initially I'd penciled in 13th - 19th, but WTF do I know???????????

It's looking like 8th - 13th for me.
That'd be me arriving sometime early in the afternoon on the 8th, and leaving on the morning of the 13th.
Whatcha think Otis and Fairy,...... I mean Harry?

Yea man I'm there! I'm laying out some 300+ mile rides for the .org rally that same week and you guys need to hook up on some of those. Probably going to lay out 4 days worth so at least one full day can be in the GAP if that's your bag, or everyday if you're the kind of guy that can entertain yourself with a ball of yarn

We like to ride the Gap but only a couple times and only during the week, no weekends. I don't know about riding in a group of 20 or 30 though, that's not our style. We prefer smaller groups, 4 to 8 tops. I'm sure we'll figure something out though.
Is that Easy's group you're talking about Gunner?

Easy is a Fag little guy that lives in Canada! But it's the group that uses his site to hook up Easy will be crawled up in some corner of his bedroom sucking his thumb or God knows what that week I'm sure Fontana Village will be a great time every night. That's better than the ride almost. Ya know what Fuck what board these guys sit on it's a GREAT group of guys that all have 12s or at least did at one time. Some have other shit now. As far as smaller groups I usually find myself out front with 2 or 3 other guys and ride at our own pace. It only takes the first day to sort out who you'll mix it up with and who to stay clear of. Granted you guys already have that sorted out. The rest catch up sooner or later. We were disorganized last year on the ride routs that's why I've volunteered to set up some mapped out routs and making sure everyone has a map and knows the guidelines for the rides. Large groups will produce stragglers and that will fuck up a days ride in a BIG hurry. Everyone will be encouraged to stay in contact with the main body of the group. The faster guys will get there sooner that's all.

That is for the daily rides though. Otis you remember DG 1? I counted 60 12R's and a few others that year. DG 8 had Me and Ruby, Harry, Wilson and Rog...oh yeah and Quickwilly showed up at the end. And this was during a frickin hurricane. We'll manage. I like goin to the Gap on weekends just to people watch. Keeps me from doing stupid stuff like crash my newly custom painted bike.
Yeah Harry, Ruby should make it, Hell, I aint gonna braid your hair for a night at the bus stop you salad tossing turd twister.

When you throw in the "locals" that we had at the dinner Alcoa Good Times sponsored, there were over 100.
I liked the 15 minute splits between the groups of 6~8. When the second group caught up with the first group that had stopped for a break, it was time for the first group to move on... and so on for the groups that followed. Having a "local" lead each group was also nice, but I think the real "lifesaver" was having a "sweeper" follow each group in case someone went down.
Of course, a "sweeper" was usually just the slowest guy in the group (aka: me), but at least if you saw the designated sweeper pull up and did a quick head count, you'd at least know that everyone made it for sure. Made it pretty easy when most of us had never met in person before that weekend.
Hmmmm... May 8-13, huh? Let's see... the BMR Boyz will be running a "limited schedule" this season, so I should have a little spare vacation time. The next CMRA race around that week is the following weekend in OK. No big deal.
The only downside is that the dates are two weeks before our general political primaries and we will likely be slammed at work. Maybe with our "new and improved" production crew, there still might be a slight chance I could sneak out. At least for three or so days.
Who knows, I might even be able to talk that "plow boy" Jonathan to come. He'd probably end up having to ride his race bike, since he doesn't have a street bike. Somebody got a "loaner"?
Of course, if he does come, we'd probably have to be "cheap skates" and stay in the BMR trailer. If for any reason, to protect us from Harry's rectal swabbing tongue. Still way too far off to make any promises on either or both of us being there. I know that both of us sure do miss it though. We'll see what shakes out.

Yeah Jonwrong. Lemme put a face to the post man......
Hey Rick. If'n all goes well we'll have a BBQ at Dad's place. He's retired nowadays, only a few miles away in Dandridge. Could prolly put up all the drunken fools(namely us) for the nite so's we dont hafta ride back to the cabins. Plus we should really drop in on the bunch at Fontana Village one nite too. Just to put a little smack down for posterity's sake and all.....
