From the TWO magazine test of the ER-6n:
Top speed 124.7mph
Standing 1/4 12.32 sec
Fuel consumption to reserve 110 miles average
Wet weight (full tank) 200kg (440lb)
Max bhp (tested) 65.4 @ 8,500

Verdict: A real treat from Kawasaki. Beautiful balance of chassis & engine that appeals to all kinds of riders.
For: motor, chassis, chirpy character
Against: looks, small tank, lack of fairing
Pillion rating 3 out of 5

They show the SV as 72.6 bhp but performance figures are similar to ER:
126.5mph & 12.33 sec for the 1/4.
I guess the ER-6f will be faster max speed.

The ER6N is not available in North America, and I believe (though I could be wrong) that the 650 Ninja is not available outside of North America. Is the full fairing version in the European lineup?

In Europe the ER-6n is the naked version & the ER-6f is the faired version, which apart from the Ninja 650 tag seems to be the same bike.
Looking at other models before there was never very much difference between UK versions & North American versions apart from badging/stickers/colours & smaller details.

Another report has the motor lighter than the 500 Ninja's motor.
I wonder if this baby can (well of course it can, the question is how practicably) be wedged into a stupormoto, or flat-tracker? Could be a very nice mill for that.
One report stated that it's really a derivation of the ZX-12R motor, cut in half. Not exactly, the intact tracts aren't the same, it runs milder cams, obviously other differences too, but that reportedly is its origin.

None of the photos seem to make clear, but it may well be that, being reportedly a descendant of the ZX-12R motor, it's very updraft and the airbox would be right where the frame is in any existing supermoto or flat track bike so that idea may be out. It would be good to see pics showing details like that.

We have found something a little strange on the machine they have at our local shop. The front forks??? You're lucky to get 2.5" of travel out of them??? Took em apart only to find absolutely no preload on the cap along with a 7" spring with an 8" spacer??? Somebody must of complained in Europe about being to soft or something??? Bob is going to order in another set of springs (which just happed to be in the warehouse already) and just stack to start with. (space accordingly)
A 7" spring is going to have a hard time compressing the 4.25" travel designed into the fork?? The ol man can't figure out what they we're thinking?? Idea's

Went and sat on one the other day, could not try it out as it was snowing, but I went with the expectation I might be bringing it home, and left disappointed, will go back later and take it for a test drive just because. After all the hype about the lower seat height I was really excited as the last bike I bought (ZX6E, now know as ZZR) was the only sport bike I could fit stock so that is why I bought it. Well the 650 Ninja is actually taller than then my bike and I was not as excited by the looks in person as in the pictures.
A couple of you mentioned lower bikes for wives/girlfriends, from what I have seen, without mods the ZZR is the lowest seat height and a decent bike.
I personally am going to keep my bike another year and check out various other bikes this year based on performance, etc rather than seat height and then when I find one I really like will look into getting it professionally lowered.
