shnits vel stacks
This company is selling vel, stacks, I was thinking of bears but I think they are hard to buy and $$, so I see in the add that they have a low profile ones.
I dont know the diference compared to stock, I sent them a email.
I whant 5mm short ones, because they give more top end, acording to some guys here like 10 real HP with ram air, since the top speed is gained.
Anyone have tried this ones?
Thanks

Post the site and my question is are you referring to the "Performance" Gain at 200 MPH needing to be about 12 to 15 HP or actually seen on the Dyno?? I have done as much or more testing of SHort stacks as the Next person but I have never been able to document more than "3" HP Gain "Static" on the Dyno. Are you also mispelling "Schnitz"??

Remember,
If you speak 2 languages you are called ?? Bi-Lingual!
If you speak 3 languages you are called ?? Tri-Lingual
But if you only speak 1 Language what are you called??
"American"

Not enough to be worth the Money IMHO. The 1st thing to buy is a Power Commander and "Tune" your Bike. 2nd is BMC FIlters because the stock do let in a lot of Dirt. # 3 is an "Exhaust System" to make a huge increase in power (at least 6 and as much as 15 more HP over all). Then if you still want to spend more money, consider a set of Stacks and the SHort will "NOT" Improve Midrange.

thanks, my bike has a pc and end can, stock filter which I will change now, is the bmc better than the k&n ? I dont really need any additional top end I prefer torque for pulling fast wheelies am I going the right way, cant really afford a full system at the moment

BMC are the filter of choice for Ferrari who can have anything. In 1 word YES about 10 times better in Quality and fit. I do not know about the "New" K&N but for the Old style they are 10 times better. I would suggest Race Filters because using them for 2 years I have not seen any dirt in the Air Box like the Stock filters caused.
WHen you do go to a full system, make sure it is a 4-2-1 system with good midrange. The 2 that come to my mind are Ti-Force which have a long "2" Section and Step Hindle which I had and could tune the Bottom end for good Torque and HP

I'd stay away from the TI force with the 2 long primairy collectors. I've seen two 2000 zx12r's on the dyno with them and both had a large sag or spike of power loss in the midrange. Most of it can be dialed out to just a flat spot, or small sag, but still not as good in the midrange as most other 4-2-1 pipes.

a bike shop over in the uk reckoned the stacks gave 10bhp, i told him to fook off after reading your replies lmao, he also said that 12r's were crap for wheelies, there one of the easiest bikes to wheelie next to a bandit, so I did the right thing and wheelied away from his shop lol he had the nerve to complain to one of the lads about me pulling a wheelie and said it was anti social lmao, obviously he cant do wheelies lol and could'nt handle a 12r

Just about everyone here has been through the "Stack" thing which was part of the "Restricted" Thing. SO save your money until you have nothing left to do then COnsider them.
