"12r1: get over your ego. it'll land you in an early grave some day"
ego... did'nt realize I had one.
I know some officers, and have talked with many. You are a different kind of mentality, no doubt.
Ego?? That's short for badge, ain't it?? F'ing amazing......

I've had too many bad experiences with moronic policemen to talk reasonably on this.
Talk like this puts down many good men, and, like any group, there will be a few bad with the good.
Be careful out there, and make it home to your families and enjoy the holidays.

First n foremost i feel very sorry for the officer who died, i m deeply saddened that a few have actually called the officer some names, however, to charge the rider for vehicular manslaughter n what not, n to give him 30 years is ridiculous, faulty equipment mayb, or incorrect tire pressure, mayb something he hit in the road, but to blame the rider for killing the man is a far reach. If i was on foot running n jumping from roof to roof n a cop in pursuit tries to jump the roof as i did n fall would that mean that i killed him? Every individual has to use his own discretion, unfortunately it ended a life for a police officer in the line of duty, be safe people and i hope the state dont hold prejudice to other riders, cause u need to know some officers will really have it in for motorcyclists, but please remember, not all of us will run

We has something like this happen near Washington DC. The difference is the Motorcyclist was never caught and when the Policeman crashed and Killed 2 people and injured 15, he (The Policeman) got Indicted but got no time or anything! Wormie, what do you think about this one?

I still think cops loose the egos, somethings like a bike that goes from 0-180 in a mile is unreasonable to chase just to give them a ticket... The bikers day will come without you throwing a 3500 pound 140mph police car behind him...
Common sense will tell you its not practical..

Still think the biker was not to blame for the the troopers death as the trooper was a human being and therefore fully capable of saying no to such a dangerious chase.....
I am surprised no one has started a thread about this here in Canada ???

Its the same cop that tasered the guy to death at the airport a few years ago

Here In New Zealand,, after a few too many dead people, being chased/caught up in the chase/
The law was changed, so as soon as the chase becomes dangerous. over 140km hr , or if its within a built up area,
the police have to stop, call in the helicopter..
makes it easy for everyone, the person being chased. slows down,
the police can then use their heads in catching the person, instead of doing the "High Speed Pursuit".
I feel for the cops family,
But 30 years jail, man that is just redneck bull shit justice.......
