Picked up my Silver 1290 from Lee yesterday
I picked up my Silver 2001 1290 from Lee's Performance yesterday.
1290cc, Lee's headwork, stock cams with adj. sprockets, nitrous pistons, stock clutch with billet basket and heavy springs.
Naturally aspirated it made 193 rwhp, even on C-16 fuel.

On a simple two-nozzle dry kit it made 290 rwhp.

It's wired up with the new Schnitz TPS/RPM Window Switch and DSC-101 2-dial progressive box. We didn't bother running it with MR9, but I'm sure it would touch 200rwhp NA. I have three maps, one NA, one 250rwhp nitrous jetting and of course the 290 rwhp setting.
I guess 290rwhp isn't bad for a simple 1290 on a dry kit.
Pics to follow.

Well I need to learn to ride again since I've been out of the seat almost two years, and beat the snot out of it. I'll take it to Commerce (Atlanta Dragway) on Friday nights before the season is out. It's set at 62" wheelbase, tiger tail, modified oil pan and standard Hindle exhaust.
I may eventually put a sidewinder on it but for now I want to commute to work with it for a couple weeks. I might also take it to Maxton at the end of this month, but I'm not sure about timing because we just had a new baby boy, I'll have to wait and see how it goes.
Also I should have my green 2000 ZX12R back from Lee's in about a month. It will be a 1361 stroker with a similar dry kit, should make 210 naturally aspirated and just over 300 on the gas. But it will be stock wheelbase with twin 1# bottles in the tail and otherwise look completely "stock".

Finally, you are getting your bikes back. I hope you can at least make Maxton to get your head back into it for the Winter.
I was working on mine today wireing the LMA-3. I got the LM-1 working good.
I am left with the fuel Jetting with some Flow testing . I plan to ride it again before Next weekend to get the final dial in and then go to the Dyno.

Yeah I hope to get to Maxton this month because I think this bike could break 200mph naturally aspirated on a good day because when my green bike went 202.593 at Maxton it was only making 194rwhp on the dyno. I want to talk to Dave Owen about doing an LM1 on it and my green bike, just buying one unit to share between the two bikes. I do not plan to ever go back to the dyno unless I suspect a problem or if it's for a horsepower contest. The LM1 is that is needed.

You can sure see what the Bike is doing with an LM1, but the problem is, you cannot see enough to off set a Dyno unless you have both units and as easy as the LM 1 is to install and read, the LMA 3 is just that hard. The LM1 reads the A/F only. You need the other to see the throttle position, RPM which complete what you need.

You will feel more Ignorant when you try to use one It is the base Data Logger made by a company called Innovate. The LM-1 records the Air Fuel Ratio from a Wide Band O2 sensor you mount in your exhaust pipe by welding in a Bung. The LMA-3 records RPM, Throttle Position, Exhaust Gas Temp, Duty Cycle and even Air Box Pressure and connects to the LM-1. Once you have all of this Hooked up and dialed in, you push the record button and you can record for about 44 minutes. I have Hooked mine up and now have set it up and am working on the Parameters to read and understand what I have.
I printed out all of the manuals and they are over 1 inch thick in total. Very serious stuff to do and even more serious information to get

how are you getting enough fuel for 100hp dry? I assume you have a muzzy fuel pump,
anything else? different injectors?

Muzzys pump, PC3R, that's it. Stock injectors. I've been telling you for a long time these numbers were possible with a simple dry kit. I suspect my green bike will make 300-310rwhp on a similar dry kit.
For aid in using the available power I've installed a DSC-101 and a Schnitz TPS / RPM-Window-Switch, of course you don't really need those.

I'm ready for Maxton. But my parents are coming in town to visit the (new) baby, so Maxton is out for me. I will have to wait for Spring '06, which is fine, because I'll have the entire arsenal with me.. 310rwhp green '00 stock wheelbase 1361cc ZX12, 290rwhp silver '01 62" wheelbase 1290cc ZX12, and a brand new showroom-stock production 2006 ZX-10R with me. I will beat the snot out of all three. I plan to break 200mph non-streamliner (no bodywork) and set a record to join the "naked 200 club", and set a new record for P/P-1000. I will also be shooting for a personal goal of 215mph on the big bike as well.
I will camp next year at Maxton to save some $$ (weather pending of course) since I have the enclosed trailer and pickup. Next year I plan to attend every single ECTA event on the schedule. Camping should save $150 a weekend which over the course of the schedule adds up to a significant savings.

We're gonna miss ya this week-end Bergie, but you got a real good reason and I'd do the same thing.
Won't be the same at Captain Larry's, we'll get caught up in the Spring. I hope to have the 12 freshened up and ready to roll!

Voz, it's all just stuff, nothing to be jealous about. You're welcome to come out and take a spin at the Spring event if you like.
Dan, good luck and be safe. Tell the family I said hello and raise a crableg toast :-) at Capt Larry's in my absence. I'll certainly be thinking about all of you and praying for a safe and fun weekend for all attending. I really wish I could make it but it's not in the cards for me at this time.
Please keep an eye on VH for me, make sure he breaks 200 without breaking anything else! I'm sad that I won't be there to witness it in person, hell I'm sad I wont be in the 200 club photo when he gets it!
I've only got one record left on the books there, at 202.593 mph I just hope it sticks long enough to at least survive this event until next season so it makes the 2006 rulebook. :-)
Here's something to get you guys in the mood!

May BE! I am sure enough in bad enough shape now to say that I have worked hard enough! Back and left lef hurting now. I will be buying to Dave Owen for his use of Chaplin Bars but I have all of the Data loggers working OK Now. Leaving WOrk Early to to get in a little Dyno Time to see where I am. Tonight I pick up Fuel and more NOS Or put in the Brake insulators .
The Plan is to get Randall into the 2's and the Bike Dialed in Saturday and then I ride Sunday. Maybe the Lord does not want me to race on the day he rested ?? At least my Van is OK NOW with new tires and headliner and Alignment! Nice to go straight down the road!
