cheap oscilloscope??? signal testing

I becha there are E-smarts guys here who can steer me.

I'm looking for a cheap oscilloscope to test signals (digital and analog) associated with my LM-1 data logging unit.

Great unit, but while recording various parameters on my 12, it appears i'm getting intermittant interference causing noisy traces.

I figure I could chase down the source of the noise easier with an oscilloscope, but i don't wanna tie up a bundle.

Any suggestions???

I don't know any military guys near Houston. I could hook you up(borrow) if you we here in Texas or Huntsville, Alabama. We use some very sweet scopes, not sure on the model #s(high dollar stuff though). Use them for the PATRIOT electronics, lot of late 60's technology in those jokers. The sad part about it is that they are so high speed, that guys are forgetting how to use the old ones and adjusting in the signals. Almost make it too easy to check signals, know what I mean. Yet another skill lost to technology.

A good scope to have would be one of the fluke handheld units. But they ain't cheap.

Tenma is a decent brand, and relatively cheap. Here's one on eBay ending soon;
