Just talking about looks, and one reported weight figure, I used to not be impressed with Carrozzerias, but their latest forged aluminum wheels are knocking me out with their combination of price and appearance (don't have a weight figure but I am guessing they aren't heavier or not much heavier than other forged aluminums.)

What's up Tren. How you been?
I like the looks of the stock wheels especially since I stripped them. What wheels are you referring to?

Pretty good, Nohto, thanks! You?
Here's a fairly good thread on them:

For the Y-spoke style the pic on eBay that Kawasabi posted is as good a pic as any:

I am hanging in there. Been slammed at work lately, but can't really complain. How is the build going?
I saw those wheels, and I was going to bid on them, but couldn't get a answer if they would fit my bike, and didn't really want to buy a used set of wheels with a scratch to top it off. Good price though.

I've been hung up on no parts.
No CP pistons yet. No JMC swingarm yet (though ordered it in early May.) No Marzocchi fork, race fairing etc yet either.
Looks like ya gotta order stuff at least 6 months before you need it, at least in some cases...
I don't have the Bear short stacks yet either. Did Mr Hill change his e-mail, does anyone know? I am not sure if he got my e-mail.

He did. I e-mailed him but no reply which is very unlike him. Actually I've been "in line" for them since June but perhaps I got accidentally bumped off or something.

Sometime right around now... that could possibly be it.
My goal of making it this October was obviously blown by the no parts situation. I was looking forward to hopefully meeting Mr Hill at that time. Perhaps he will make it in the spring as well, but though I would like to meet him, I would rather see him achieve his goal this time and not need to go back!

If it was me, I wouldn't wait to go all the way to Max. to test/tune my bike. That seems like a very inneficient way of doing it. There has to be somewhere closer and more convenient available to him.

Nohto,
that 'subject' was discussed before when his son had the mishap and destroyed the header pipe. The guy is set in his ways that he is gonna race there....actually it was a rather dramatic thread as I recall. From the vids of Maxton, its a death-trap waiting to happen...I voiced my opinion, as did others, but Vincent was very adamant that there was nowhere else he could race. Me personally, I'd bribe or make friends with an air traffic controller at a less than busy airport before I EVER ran at Maxton.

I can understand that he wants to run at Maxton, I am just talking about the testing/tuning aspect. To each is own. Now that I have hijacked my own thread,
WHAT FUCKIN WHEELS ARE THE BEST BUY, PERFORMANCE, LOOKING for a 2000 12? I haven't really found anything that stands out above the rest.

guess you didn't read the link I posted?
I've had the Dymags on for 5 years now. I've hit BIG potholes, 3" rocks, birds. They haven't dented or bent or anything. Like a Timex watch, "takes a lickin' & keeps on ticken'...."
I love them....
