You fuckers are going to keep it up until Al Gore has to unplug the internet. He has that plug in his bedroom at home and he WILL use it.

OK so I peeked at the pics. Good News!!!!!! Kawasaki found that mold for the A model 12R front fender and somehow managed to extend it even bigger than before

we locked the other thread because we do not want to be party to spreading of false rumours. why lock the thread then, and not just say our peace and leave it be? because people have a strong tendency to read the first post, then post their reply without reading the rest of the thread, and next thing you know the site's (absolute BTW) response is lost in the middle, and the rumour continues to spread. please keep that in mind on this thread.
also, let me just say that you will get more out of this site if you learn to read between the lines...

Why does it matter now anyway? by the time you guys tell anything if in fact you know anything all the dealers will be at the show making calls back home and the specs will be known. I can wait a couple more days and not have to play games. Personally I think it's a joking matter. That bike is in fact a ZZR as it clearly says so on the tail. So for a ZZR it looks fine to me.

Looking at this from a different point of view, in order for you to categorically state that this is NOT the bike, you must know what the bike IS in order to say what the bike ISN'T.
So, since, in reading between the lines I gather that you're not going to spill the beans, would you be willing to answer, whatever THE BIKE is, is THE BIKE worth waiting for??
And to quantify "worth waiting for", worth waiting for would be that for which a current owner of a ZX-12r would be wiling to part with his bike.

Oh c'mon. Surely no one is going to claim these are 'chops, or are they?
Each is entitled to their opinion... I think rather plainly they are not. IMO, to claim that these don't represent a real bike (a 2006 model Kawasaki) is to be advancing a rather unlikely opinion, let alone to advance it as a flat assertion that there's anything wrong here. That really is remarkable, to flat assert that anyone is wrong in posting this as a genuine 2006 Kawasaki. Or to forcefully assert as "absolute" that these pics are "false rumours."
That's an even worse bet, IMO, than the previous denials of the 10R pics as being a genuine new model, on account of a press release hadn't arrived yet or something had been whispered different. Sometimes stuff is real before the press release arrives to a given party, no matter how well-connected the party.

Anyhow, me likes. If I had unlimited funds I would buy one for sure. Judging from the pics and what I expect from Kawasaki, I prefer it by a considerable margin to the BMW K1200S, most certainly to the Hayabusa, and most certainly to the ZZR-1200. No doubt about any of that.
If I did way more sport touring I would definitely go for it, but as is, the 12 is comfortable enough for me for the durations I ordinarily ride (rarely more or much more than a full tank of gas before getting where I'm going) and will do whatever this can, plus more. That is not knocking the bike: the same is true for the above three bikes as well, and they all are good sellers and/or respected.

I am upset Kawi is badging it under the ZZR line and not the ZX (Ninja) line, but I figure they are doing that for insurance reasons. I dont like the double seat and the classic dual ZZR exhausts.
The front headlights look filthy sick, I love them! I also like how they got rid of the monocoque frame and went back to the classic twin-spar frame, seems to work very well...
I want to see some numbers and specs now!

Well considering that the overall design is ZZR type -- type of seat, seat/bar relationship, passenger accomodation, wheelbase, ZZR styling cues e.g. the tail, or as you point out the dual low exhausts... why object to their calling it ZZR?
Are they not allowed to update the ZZR? It's not as if it isn't past due.
If they badged it as a ZX, then its bar, seat, wheelbase etc would be way odd, that's for sure. But who ever said this pictured bike was intended as a ZX type design? How about, it is what it says it is, and that's why it's designed that way? It's a ZZR because they wanted a killer ZZR, not because they fucked up in trying to do a ZX and then decided to trick the insurance companies. At least that is how I see it.
That is not that much different than complaining that the Vulcan 2000 got badged as a Vulcan, it should have been badged as a ZX (and of course done completely differently in all regards.) If I'm not missing it, you're saying that the bike should be different in general type and also differently badged. That basically seems equivalent to saying Kawasaki should release no new big-bores except ZX's.
