What is with this apparent view that only Bikeland editors have genuine news?

Two cases don't make a pattern but...

Several members here posted info -- that proved accurate -- on the 2006 ZX-10R. This was pooh-poohed, even denied, by Bikeland mods or editors.

Accurate pics were posted, they were deemed photoshops.

Even when for example I posted an article and high resolution, definitely-real photos from MCN -- which were dead accurate -- Bikeland editors or mods insisted that no information had been released by Kawasaki -- there was even some language about repeating it slow so that I could understand that. (However, the "understanding" needed to be in the reverse direction in that case.)

And now, a topic is being locked, we can't even discuss it, because Bikeland editors haven't gotten the information so it can't exist, same as the ZX-10R information I posted couldn't have existed because Kawasaki hadn't released anything?

This is twice in a row in a very short space of time.

Hey, maybe the members will be wrong, have wrong opinions on whether something is legit or not... but does that mean "Shut up, we know what Kawasaki has and has not released, we will not even allow you to discuss a given set of pics?"

I appreciate the Bikeland editors have great contacts and information sources but NO ONE knows it all. (As the 2006 ZX-10R example shows, and perhaps this ZZR example also will show.)

While I know they have a solid contact within Kawasaki... I don't see any real reason for locking that topic. Especially after all the 10R junk that got posted.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two threads closed in under a week by the editors of bikeland! Fish said the other day that it was the first time in like 5 years that a thread had to be closed and now this. Hmmm?????

The first I could definitely understand the reason. Libel is wrong, period, and it is responsible administration of a board to put the kibosh to it.

BTW if the front tire is not smaller in diameter than that of the ZX-12R, then the wheelbase of the bike pictured in the locked thread is at least 59", perhaps 60", based on pixel counts. Perfectly reasonable for a ZZR sports tourer or "King of the Drag Strip," while not reasonable for a ZX.

UPDATE: Questionable result, will be triple-checked. As of now, the above is likely not correct.

FURTHER UPDATE: On the basis of assuming equal front rim size, which is a better assumption than same front tire size, the wheelbase appears to be about 59.8 inches.

I would say that it will roll in a strait line. However this does not reflect the opinions of bikeland staff in any way. It's solely my own opinion and shouldn't be considered as rumor spreading by Bikeland staff!

Ok, WTF!!!....

Absolutely no reason to lock the thread on the 1400...

And yes, Fish was just saying that they never lock threads, except for libel or illegal
stuff...

hmmmmmmmmmm....

That tells me that THAT is the pic of the new 1400, and that he doesn't want the heat of Kawi
on him for posting it too soon... maybe that's it????

I think it's butt fucking ugly...

My guess would be that the admistrators of this site would like to think they are the only ones who have "solid" Kawi contacts, and are the only ones who will "break" a story on the site. Why else would fish give the "You're barking up the wrong tree...I can say no more" teaser, implying that he knows something. Got news for ya bro, I know the same thing. Ya want the story so bad that you'll lock threads, it's your site .................I already know.
