help me understand

can someone shed some light on this...I've only been on one forum with any type of regularity. ZXZone: posting is not limited to zx12 discussions? So is there any difference between here and the Smack forum? I'm used to motorcycle related topics in one particular place...still an EXCELLENT site. Just curious, like I said, kinda new here. thanks--jeff

Does bikeland do Rallys? Whens the next one? I've been saving for Deals Gap trip with the .org next summer, but thats looking less and less likely----and BY-GOOSH, I'm taking mean Green somewhere, to some freakin' rally....

Jere? I hear there is a Tombstone ride from El Paso....should have some info on it today at lunch. It would be really cool to meet up with you and Mikey before its Freezing Arse Cold!

The SmackHouse is the only forum that you have to be a member to view/post.
All other forums are open to guests to view.

Bikeland has a group that goes to Deals gap, we also go to Laguna and ride the coast every summer to the Superbike races. (July)

This year we hosted the first dragbike races, hopefully something we will repeat next year.

A group of us also goes to Sport Bike West, in Canada. (Aug.)

We get together for a couple of Motorcycle shows through the winter.

Feel free to start a new rally, always love to hear about a good ride.
Love to have another excuse to take time off work and go ride.
(like everybody else here)

Yeah, actually it's an important point (or can be) that only members can view the Smack House.

I post non-ZX-12 stuff there. So for example I put info on the new Fireblade and other bikes there.

I put up a post at ZZR-1200.net so they could come here and get the info if they wanted, because I did not want to post it there, not wanting to deal with ankle-biters.

However, they couldn't see it because of it being in the Smack House.

So, if wanting to post something that people anywhere can see, don't post it there. So that can be a good reason to post non-ZX-12 stuff in the ZX-12 forum or the Sportbikes forum -- but if you post it in the Sportbikes forum, my impression is many are likely to not ever see it. However as for myself I will probably do that anyway, or most likely just post in the Smack House and it's unfortunate for non-members, but better that than have stuff put in the wrong places here.

thanks tren.

jere, the group headed to Tombstone travels a bit fast for my taste. I've ridden with them before(oneway). I enjoy hauling ass, but the route thay are planning , and the speed they are planning is not my cup of tea. they average 150-ish++ and I just don't do that in a group or any major hiways. I like my freedom, insurance rates, and my wheels....all are at risk when you sustain those speeds for that kind of distance....

I've committed to the back surgury..these 'shots' aint doin' dick for me....I'm way worse than I was at the Tucson Rally. It sucks, but the pain is just getting unbearable from day to day. I'll scrape together some folks for another time for a Tombstone run. Meanwhile, Aspencash in Ruidosa is the 17th of this month. I will go up for the day, but I doubt we stay overnight.....It sure was fun last year. Jere, theres lots of Harleys----so you might wanna skip it. LOL

Since the entiire site is viewable to the public, and new topics appear on the Frontpage of the site, items that may be off-topic or "too sensitive" in nature are generally posted in the Smackhouse... or moved there (pretty much the only moderation you'll see here...

oh.. unless you try to ebay or sell something as a dealer/store in the classifieds... that'll be nuked right away... we aint no las-vegas-strip-mall.
