Holy Kneedrager!!!! These tires ROCK!!!

For years I was a Dunlop diehard... and I'd have the 12 on it's side all the time... but I'd
be steppin out in the rear or feeling the front end shudder as it was right on the verge of
letting go...

Then it finally happened... I was reading and hearing tall tales of Michelin... blah blah blah...
and then one day I was out riding with a bunch of new guys I had just met...

And at the front of the pack was this dorky doode on a situp... yep, a nakie... nothing
special... well we take off and I'm on his tail... amazed that he's taking the turns like he
is... holy crap, I mean he isn't even doing any weight shift and he's got that bike down
like 47 degrees!!!! I working my ass off just to stay with him, and I've never had anyone
make me work that hard!!!

So we stop, and we talk, and he has the Pilot Powers by Michelin...

I was due so I changed out to them... and went for a ride... Crap, they stick like glue!!!!

I mean the difference is so tremendous, I just can't believe it!!!!

All this means is that when I crash again, and we all do..., it will just be a lot worse as
I'll be going even faster through the turn than I use to...

But guys, this was a real wake up call for me... now I know everyone here is gonna spout
off and say "What took you so long..." blah blah blah...

I guess I deserve it...

We'll see how long they last....

I absolutely love the Pilot Powers.

I got about 5,000 miles out of my last set, including 3 trips to the track and the NM trip in June. I probably could have gotten another 500miles out them, but we are going to the track in in a week or two so I swapped them a little early. They warm up very quickly , stick very well and wear like a Sport Touring tire, so I think you will be quite happy with them.

My only concern is that I have pushed them pretty hard and they haven't slid on me yet so I really don't know if they will give me any warning when approaching the limit. The 208's slid, but they did it in a "predictable" way, although I did get popped out of my seat twice at the track when I got on the gas a little to early.

Bridgestone 014's are glue wrapped around a wheel

Back to the regular programing Jere bring that Velcro shod bitch out here and convert me from my 014's to the powers. Or I'll show the the light the other way perhaps.

Although I have had excellent results from my Diablos, after 4Kmi, they're shot.
I'll be ordering a set of Michelin's tonight to see what all the hu-bub is about.
How does $153 for a 190 and $105 for a front sound? (free shipping) Similar to what you paid?

180 is the way to go on the back. Bigger is always better, but only if you're talking about your dick to a chick. On the subject of tires the smallest tire that will do the job is always the best choice to make. Think of it like this. Smaller is faster unless you're slipping the tire!!! That's a rule that is in stone and always will be. 1 pound of rotating weight = 7 pounds of static. Another rule in stone. Then there's the whole sprung weight issue. FAT TIRES ARE FOR BUSA POSER FAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a set of Pilot Powers on the 636 this year and I now have a little over 1,500 miles on them and I have to order a new rear soon. My tread is almost gone. Maybe cuz I never take off slow from a stop and I speed constantly. But I say another 300miles and the cord will be peaking through I decided from past experience. New pilot powers are on the way.

So they don't reach 2,000miles for me on my 636, im hard on my shit. HAHA, but I take care of it also.

Kevin, that's my big fear... the dunlops slide in a predictable way... I hope the powers
don't give me a highside anytime soon!!!

I only have a few miles on them, then company came for the holiday, and I'm dying to
try them out...

I read alot about them... seems they have some sort of new chemical makeup that makes
them stick like hell but hold up longer as well...

Oh, Kevin... you're one of the main reasons I tried the powers... Blitz was telling me that
you and Mal loved them at track days... say hi to Mal for me... anyway, we'll see if you
boners are right on!!! but indications are like HOLY SHIT!!!

238, I sell tires and the complains I got from hardcore riders about the Dunlops wheere bbig.

Pilot power or 014, its like glue,
let me put it this way, they DO everything better than the dunlops, metzeler, avons......

I use them on the track and they warn you and you keep pushing and they dont let go, never.

these 2 tires are the new generation, Dunlops are old shhit, and when they where new , the 010 where way better.

If you whant to go to heaven and get adicted to it, bridgestone 002 medium.

And the typical lifespan of these is measured in heat cycles right ?

Junior, that is supposed to be the highlight of the Pilots... they are supposed to wear
like road tires, but give you near track tire grip...

I've hear a a few of my friends say they run them at the track 3-4 times and still get 3000
miles!!!!

We'll see....

3000 miles!! FUCK, I must be doing something wrong on my bike, cuz I've never seen 3,000 out of a tire!!! haha....hell like I said my tread on my pilots are almost gone on my 636 and they have 1,500 or so on them....2,000 will be hard to get w/out the guts showing.

Jere if that is me on a 636, you should be just as bad, if how you talk to me on the phone is true, which I know it is crazy fucker!

Damn Nick you've got a problem with Tire Abuse!!!! If you was on a 12R you wouldn't make it out of your neighborhood. Try being fast and taking care of your equipment. Reminds me of Days of Thunder there Cole Trickle. I get 3000 plus miles out of my 014s and I'll promise you I use the things hard. YOU ARE A HOOLIGAN SIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHA....I'm never in town when I ride, so yes I am a hooligan...haha. Not around town ofcourse, but then im only there to fill up.

And JEREBEAR! You show me some good twisties w/out gravel within a 50mile radius of my house and I'm there man. Gunner has the good roads and you have these mountains I hear you talking about. Maaaaaaaaaan, there isn't shit here around Kettering, Ohio. HAHA.

But my Pilots have melted pretty damn fast and I don't do burnouts, I just have it WOT everywhere I take off at and never see below 90mph unless I'm in town haha,so I think that is why they go so fast for me, but I LOVE THEM better than my Diablo Corsas I had honestly.

Ok, no shit... I just ran 40 miles of mountian twisties and the Pilot power stuck like glue
on the front... NO SIGN OF ANY TREAD WEAR at the same time, my dunlop 208,
which WAS BRAND NEW... is completely shredded and balled up... wasted.

Yes, I mixed them for the hell of it... and now I need a Pilot on the rear....

PS I have a BRAND NEW spare 208... any offers????

I felt like I was flat tracking around the curves... the front went EXACTLY where I pointed
it... and the rear slid out all the time... I swear, put some metal on the bottom of my boots
and I'd just hang the rear end out in all the turns... terrible!!!

NOW I WILL OFFICIALLY SAY DUNLOP 208's ARE TRASH!!!!

Also went to Ron Ayres and picked up about a dozen #92009 cowling screws and 92200 washers. Seems since the last time I detailed the 12 (2 wks), I've lost about 5!!!!! Fuckin weird, they all just fell out at once!

It's a tire that's almost as good as a Bridgestone 014! It's the next step above a the P brand and the last step before the top tire 014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
