You can order them from.....

gethightech.com

Don't forget to get the adapter from dynojet, you could make one with a standard null modem adapter by removing one pin on each side. But I can't remember what # pin it is, my adapter is at the house. I'll check this afternoon. I think it is pin #6, but not sure. But then again it's only like $10 from Dynojet

I think you use a palm hot sync cradle which has the cable on it,and you use dj adaptor DS189146 between the cable and the powercommander. I have the complete setup, but I have not used it. Where do you get the software ?

Yep

Correct Jimp, but if his cradle is USB, he'll need a hot sync serial cable. I'd got with the hot sync serial cable anyway just for conveinience. HOPEFULLY I'll be set to do this in the very near future. The company bought me a Visor Prism which though bulky, is very nice with a color display and all. It's just not compatable with the PC, something to do with the way the serial port is configured. I am now going to get a Palm brand handheld, hopefully by the end of next week.

I wasted quite a bit of time fucking with that damned visor, had the Dj software on it along with some maps. Went and hooked it up to my Power Commander and it wouldn't do crap. Messed with the thing for a few hours and finally said fuck it. Tearinitup confirmed my fears the next day. Told me the visors wouldn't work and explained why. So now I'm waiting for my new Palm which won't be as nice as the Visor Prism, but the company is buying it so I don't care. They are getting me a "cheaper" Palm m125, not even color!!!! The nerve of those bastards!!!!! I don't give a shit as long as it will work with the PC.

Hey Jimp......

The software is available on the power commander web site. It's a small file and downloads quick.

hott-rodd,
It depends on what type cradle you want. Some recharge your battery while the Palm is "Docked" others don't. But most of them run from $20 to $50. Check out the website I posted a link to above, you can get an idea of what kind of loot you're gonna have to shell out.

Thanks

I should have checked before asking.
Next question, When used with the
Palm serial cable and the PC3 serial
cable provided with the commander will
I still need the null adapter?
