He is welcome to visit this site. If what you are saying is true (which I highly doubt) the archived information can be moved and hosted by this site... Bikeland certainly has more than enough server space and the technical capacity and programmers to keep the information online in perpetuity.....
HOWEVER it seems ike crazy talk to me..
Dale is an extremely dedicated and determined enthusiast. I have no idea what sort of problems (technical) he may be having, but I am sure they will be solved.
Sounds like people need to give the guy a chance to get the place back up and online.

Fish, the rumors stem from Dales posting that he is contemplating just turning the lights off and shutting down the site. ;-)
Whether or not he truly intends to do that only he knows.

If he wanted to close up and combine the archive with this site, that would be a decision only he could make, and certainly something we know nothing about.
My understanding is that this is not the case, and as I mention in the above link, he is merely upgrading the system.

Hey Chewie, re-read my posts.
I have not said shit-negative about Dale or .org.
I have had about 25 people ask me why I have all but disappeared from there and I have consistently replied that some things happened that I didn't agree with, and I left.
Simple as that.
