VOZIZM- Please explain. I don't understand exactly what you bought from MUZZYS. All MUZZY Damper Kits should have complete instructions.

Um, it was given to him, Rob.

But while you're here, this is a great opportunity for me to ask you a couple of questions on the damper.

I'm getting some 50 mm Marzocchi forks, which obviously the damper as ordinarily supplied wouldn't fit.

Can Muzzy's either supply it so it would fit, or does it sound like an unexpectedly problematic thing on my end for me to have modified to fit, for example welding on a larger clamp? I would have guessed it wouldn't be that hard but as I don't know the exact design, that's an ignorant guess.

Secondly, can Muzzy's supply the damper for the ZX-12R with the RSC-type damper?

Thank you!

They did a cool job putting that one together.

I have pics of my install, and the instructions are in the garage. Let me see if I can dig them up.

Took some pics of Kristen's bike last night... don't mind the dirty bike

Here's how the cylinder mounts (original unit leaked, sent it to Hyper Pro to be fixed and they sent this back)

Clamp that goes on the right fork tube

Left side of the fork pivot area, the Muzzy bolts replace the bolts that hold the main fair stay to the bike.

Right side of the same. Do NOT run the control cables like this, if you do, the fork will hit hte cables and won't turn all the way to the right. Run them under the bracket.

Oh, ok, thanks Voz, I misunderstood.

I'm still chopped liver though!

My guess is I can buy the RSC damper, buy the bracket-only kit as you did (Which I did not know existed, and would not have known but for your post!) and then draw out a different fork-clamping part and have it CNC'ed. I've never used the e-machine-shop people to date, but this looks like a perfect project for it -- unless anyone sees a reason why it should be problematic getting the Muzzy to work on a thicker fork?

I'd suggest posting the question under a new topic, I wouldn't wade through this looking for another question and I missed yours the first time when I did look for it.

That's a good idea and I was about to do it (on reading your suggestion) but then it seemed to me, since the question is really directed specifically to Mr Muzzy, it would probably be more polite to inquire directly so I will do that.

It was just that at the time, he'd placed his post only a few minutes before mine, so I'd hoped he'd catch it while he was here. Oh well.
