went to a 190 series D207zr rear...wow! I think this has been covered (Red?), but thought I'd mention this for you twisty riders. I decided 900 miles was too little mileage for rear tires considering the 200's price. So this time I took someones advice & went with a 190 rear. What the heck, may as well try it...
All I gotta say is wow. Man does it steer faster now. It sure felt a little weird @ first; kinda "rear-steer'ish." However after a few rides I've started getting used to it. All I know is I no longer have to virtually bend the bars countersteering to get it to turn.
Yeehaw! The canyons are drying out finally....weeeeee! ____________

Yep, it really makes a difference! I'm currently running a BT56SS in 190/50, and will set the bike up with Dunlop 208GP in 180/55 for endurance racing.

But, what about my EGO? Just today somebody said: "Damn does that thing have a big ass tire." Now how can I give that up?

The real reason is the Dunlops are piles of shit, put some real tires on that thing and the handling will magically appear. Speaking of tires has anyone tried the Pirelli Dragons?? I see that Ducati has switched to them on their new 998 and usually they try to put the best tires they can find on them. Hmmmmm.

Hard to switch when I've been a Dunlop man forever. Back when I was racing I was helping to develop the K291 (similar tread pattern to all the K2,3,4,591 series), & have never forgot how good I was treated by Dunlop at the track.
Not to mention their tires are the most predictable tires when sliding. Even when hitting gravel, water, slime, oil, whatever....they drift slowly, & hook right back up. Last time I was on a Michlien & hit something slick = slideee...gone! Splat.
That predictability I am unwilling to give up. Granted I haven't tried some of the new stuff; & want to try the Corsas, 010's, Rennsports, etc.; but during winter I stay w/the old reliable standby...Dunlops.
Soon as the roads dry out I think a set of Rennsports is next...
