Chugging...bad injectors?
I have always noticed a slight misfire from my 2000 (5300 mi, stock) when sitting at lights in neutral. However, just recently I have been noticing that as I hold a constant speed/rpm on the road, I feel something like bumps in the road, which is really the feeling of chugging thru the drivetrain. I put the bike on a rear stand and put it in first, sure enough engine chugging at the constant rpm. I don't notice anything wrong when I am accelerating, just at constant speeds. Sounds like fuel delivery??? any ideas?
Good thing I bought the extended warranty, looks like I will be using it.

chugging problem
make sure you check your spark plug connections.
I know these bikes dont have spark plug "wires" like a car.
But something could be loose somewhere. also make sure your battery connections are all clean and snug.
when I took out my battery the first time for storage the connections were not tight at all.
I've seen brand new cars with bad plug wires and I could imagine a loose connnection on the ignition system somewhere on this kind of machine could happen easily.
have you been storing your bike with winterized gasoline or just letting it sit, or never stopped riding it?

I have run it about once a month out on the streets over winter, and starting it a few times each month in the garage. I will indeed check all the connections, it just seems like a bad plug or injector, with the misfiring that is noticeable at idle in neutral. It was doing this last fall too, but now that I don't ride it as much, I notice more when I do ride it now.
