Arkansas Hospitality - #1
I took a recent trip to Little Rock for business and to show one of our support guys what it's like at a customer site. No trip to "The Rock" is complete without stopping to see the Elk so it was on the agenda, but I got more than I expected.
After talking to JW from the parking lot of the Little Rock National Airport and truck wash it was decided that we'd all meet sometime during the week. It was a little more complicated this trip since I had someone with me on this time and also was planning to meet my sister's husband who is in the process of relocating his business there.
While doing my computer stuff at the client location I get a message from JW that instead of the usual road warrior cuisine that a home cooked dinner will be provided at his girlfriend's home. I returned the call and reminded him I had a couple extra people and he just said bring 'em along. And to top off the evening Sherman was going to stop over.
As soon as I bailed from the office I checked the email for directions, got the crew together and headed over. We were greeted by some of the best hospitality I've seen anywhere. We made ourselves at home, ate BBQ ribs, and bs'ed for quite a while.
Why did I write this ? Well despite the teasing, smack talk, or whatever it's great to know that there are areal people out there that will welcome you into their homes and treat you like one of the family. There are some first rate people around here.
Thank you Jonathan and a special thanks to Janet for for opening her home, providing the dinner, and putting up with the bike talk. Anytime you're down this way my door will be open.
Sherman, good to see you again. Like always you never disappoint in providing conversation. You are certainly the talk of a few more places after that trip.
Now, back to bike talk, I have to check the weather radar.
Dave

Shows what a loser I am. The thead is 11 days old and I didn't even notice it was here. I will pass your compliments and appreciation to the person that REALLY made the evening. Janet and her cookin'!

Whatever, loser boy. You ain't said shit to nobody except to whine about having to ride to work.
Hey, whazzup with that pic? Looks like your still shot to try out for the Booty Boys Choir of 2006.
Glad you guys came over to visit us, Dave. Janet likes to cook, and I like to have company. What a nice combination! You guys were good company and we enjoyed having you over. Direction over to my place would fill half a page and would have been about an hour drive for ya.
I've gained a lot of weight since I've been seeing Janet.
I know when you are on the road for a while a nice home cooked meal is pretty nice. Restaurant food, even nice $50 steak place - is still store-bought crap after a while of eating out all the time.
Let us know next time yer in town! We'll see about "Arkansas Hospitality #2" and on, and on....

Home cooking is the best, you're a lucky guy.
The brownies baker works with my girlfriend and is growing the brownie business. With a product like that she should do very well. Sometimes some samples even make it home for me to try !
If anyone is insterested in finding them here's the link:

There you go. I've changed it so you won't get so "moist".
