Post Stargate questions here...
I'll answer as best I can...
remember that I stopped reading the scripts after season 4-5 ish... I can fill in lots of non-script-like info...
so go ahead...

I have been watching the series since day one it started...way back on SHOWTIME network......came on tv on Friday nights at 10pm.
But i was watching last year and it finally hit me WHY they call the azgaurd the azguard...it seems to me that they are the most intelligent beings that SG1 has encountered to date......and i know Daniel jackson is the voice of them....but the name....came ringing a bell....then it hit me...the guard SG1 and Stargate Commands ASS's...hence the name AZGUARD...... i then broke up laughing sitting on the couch!
am I right on this?????

okay... I'll explain somethingvery basic to you.. . in the begining a lot of what is scripted came from long night sessions of drinking and pot smoking ( from my understanding..) much of what is established was made up... later, as the internet developed.. it began to feed the stories etc...
dont read too much into things...

Just ask my wife, she has every season that is out on DVD and has watched each episode atleast twice.....same for Andromeda, Charmed, Angel, and Buffy.......TVaholic.....lol

It seems as though Stargate vs Stargate Atlantis have entirely different visions with only the Gate in common? Stargate is dealing with an exspansion of the universe and "advance" intellegent life forms in a war type capacity and Atlantis is dealing with a "competing" type situation that is fairly local?
Why does the goverment feel that we cannot deal with truths about other life? This seems so basic to me.

well...i would not let SG1 go down the tubes......just expand the characters....let them find Atlantis...
AND another thing...how about telling them to include the wraith a bit more....need to see more of them and that hot ass ancient girl that the major fell for..............

I see on the ads for the new season that the "Farscape" guy is coming, as well as Ms. Black. WTF? Are some of the old characters going away? (well Jackson is "asended" now so I gather he's off doing movies/cameo appearances only.)
What about General Jack? He just don't fit the General thing....maybe he will get demoted for mouthing off or something...?

Rick Dean is tired of working and wants an easier work schedule, so now he's a general... Don (Hammond) is gone...
As for SG-1 staying.. dont hold your breathe... they've milked that thing pretty good..
