they sure do look strong, perhaps inspired byt hte designs used for the 10R? not sure that i would want to use it tho as i think my feet would hit them. btw, what is with that oil filler cap? just makes it easier to safety-wire it?

Hey frEEk; How do you feel your feet would hit them?
I ride with the balls of my feet on the peg......these are so far out front of the pegs...
I will be obtaining these, they do look solid! The kit weighs 3 POUNDS!
Pricey as well!

cause most of my riding tends to be commuting at cruising speeds so i'm sitting closer to the heel than the ball.
however, you are right. i just checked and tho my toes would be in front of the slider, my foot clearly would pass well below it.

I just got an email from Irfan at Wildhair. He said he has to order them from Germany. He also gave me a discount for being a ZRXOA Member. If you do order them, Tell Irfan, Victor from Hawaii referred you. Maybe he can kick you down a discount too. I'm gonna order them too. Aloha, Victor

I am using Protek slider, note I dont refer to them as frame sliders, since they really dont attach to the true frame.
Wow these ones you showed are cool. For 185...I'm going to buy them. Worth it IMHO.

Aloha Scooter, I'm not going to make it to the Rally. Kinda hard when I live on an Island. Make sure you have a great time and take lots of pictures. Aloha, Victor

I just talked to Irvan, and told him you recommended me. They were $185 +$20 shipping. He said they take 3 weeks to get, cause they are coming from a small spot in Germany with a phone number of 3 digits. He thinks they are not next to any place that anodizes or powerdcoats since the bracket cannot come in black.
Looking forward to them...kinda pricey!!

I placed my order last week Thursday. He told me about the 3 week delay. He said he will not charge my card til he receives it. Seems like everything at Wildhair is expensive. But everything I got from there is top quality. I had a set of Billit Frame Sliders on my ZRX1100 that did a great job when I lowsided the ZRX. Have you ever taken apart your swing arm on your 12R? I'm thinking that with the frame sliders, it should come with different hardware for the swing arm to install the sliders. I could be wrong. I'd hate to take the swing arm bolt out have have the bike fall apart.

I asked him about the swingarm, and he said these bolt right in with the provided screws. I guess we both wait and see. I tried to haggle on the price or shipping but he wouldnt budge. Seemed like a nice guy though to be honest.

Irfan is also a member of the ZRXOA and has a tricked out ZRX1100. I was only able to get 10% off due to me being a member of the ZRXOA myself. Since your one of the Moderators here, maybe you could get a group buy and see if he would offer a discount then? But I think we should see what type of product it truely is before both you and I can recomend to other members here. Aloha, Victor

I got a guy in Germany. Wonder what it would take to get him to go just pick some up from where they make em? If you can tell me where it is I can ask him if it is within shooting distance.

Aloha zxfingyz, If you look at willdhair accessories website, everything they get is from Germany. Maybe you can write to them and see if he will tell you where in Germany.

The manufacturer is http://www.gsg-mototechnik.de/
Which doesn't seem to offer direct sales from their website.
My arrival time was about 4 weeks. Nice parts for sure.
HOWEVER, gotta say that from the overhead view, or sitting on the bike and looking down, they do make her look fat.
They are a little visually obtrusive from the overhead view. Though if they were less beefy they would not work as well should they ever be needed.
From the side though they look OK.
I wish I had weighed them. I had not seen where Psycho posted they weigh 3 lb. I was told the same figure by Wild Hair, but they seemed in the hand as though they might be less than this (though still very solidly built.) I would have guessed only 2 or 2.5 lb, but as I said, unfortunately I didn't weigh them, and I don't want to take them back off to do it.
