For those too lazy to go there:
--------------------
RICKEY GADSON WROTE:
After church today I stopped past the track today,as one of my friends just picked up his 2002 ZX12R thursday.
Needless to say that when he saw me, he asked whether I had my gear, which I didn't, plus to me, it was far to windy and cold for me to be going down the racetrack.
After a long time convincing(about 15 seconds or so) I decided to use his leathers and take a pass.
The bike was lowered 1.5 inches in the back, lowered 1/2 inch in the front(no strap),stock gearing, and a slip on, thats it. No power comander!
The numbers read:
1.60 60ft
4.14 330ft
et @ 660= can't remember(will get)
116 mph 660ft
9.61 @ 145mph ( by the way, they had put a half tank of C-12 in before I got there which would surely slow the bike up a couple mph and about a tenth)
Take into consideration it was 40 degrees and the wind was blowing about 20 mph across track(leaning sideways all the way down the track.
The bike truly inpressed me as the old 12's would bog down on the launch with stock gearing, and surely burn up the clutches. I didn't even have to adjust the clutch, even after 2 dry hops(which was always a no no on the old 12's).
The guy who owned the bike had made four passes on the bike before I arrived and said he never had to adjust the clutch either, and he weighs about 200 pounds.
