I dunno...I thought all was well with the set I had put in a few months ago. Then I had the bike on the lift today, and took a look down at them... Somehow, one of the links had about 1/4 inch more than the other of thread showing on one end, and the same amount as the other side showing on the other end... Scary! I'm gonna put a three hole link in it and be done with it.

kennedy links I thought this was a cool design but i have changed my mind. after using them for 9 months they started pulling the aluminum threads from the center pieces. both links did the same thing. this might habe become a safety issue if i hadn't caught it. i have decided to give up the convenience for the safety of the 3 hole links.

I have the Rickey Gadson *signature series* links right on my bench top... where they belong!! There is no way in hell Im going to wrestle with those things around to raise and lower the bike. Plus on the street, with my 175lb boney ass, the bike bottoms out like I weigh 400lbs! (even with 25mm preload on the shock!) Kennedys are it for getting it on in the street..lol.
The Muzzy/Gadson links are 3mm shorter in the first position from stock....take notes roadracers...lol

TurboBlew - Good luck with your Kennedy links. My advice is to check them often. Mine failed after about 500 miles of riding on the street.

I've had my kennedy links on for about 1200 miles with no problems at all???I also lower the bike often for drags!!!

What failed? Ive got over 10,000 miles on mine. Victor didnt warranty them? Strange.

kennedy links turboblew i didn't ask victor to warrant my links, i just changed them out with the 3 hole links. my kennedy links did not break, or change adjustment as described by swft. in the 9+ months i used them i probably changed the height adjustment 15 times at the dragstrip. before instillation i coated the threads with antisieze and always tightened the jam nuts after adjustment (they never changed adjustment on me). adjustments were always made one flat at a time alternating between links. the last time i adjusted them they were very difficult to turn so i removed them to relubricate the threads. the threaded end sections had seized (all four of them) and when taken apart the aluminum threads were coming apart. don't know what happened but i decided to go with the safer alternative. i really like the convenience of the kennedys. silverzx-12 you might want to pass along the suggestion to victor that he use a stainless alloy or other alternative for the center sections of his links and caution customers about lubricating the threads.

Ok, they're installed, no muss, no fuss. Don't think that they'll be going south on me like the Kennedy ones did. I guess the Kennedy links were not really designed for street riding. If the tire bottoms out, I can always crank up the preload some.
