NEW PIPE, OR MODIFIED STOCK PIPE

I have a 03 ZX12 R , i have the original stock can but with mods, i removed the back fire plate inside and drilled several other holes for less of a restriction. I would like to buy a muzzy pipe for it , but im not sure if i would be getting the best air flow. Will that muzzy pipe be better than the stock can mod? I have heard mixed feelings on it. From what i understand the muzzy pipe has good air flow but there is still some restrictions, to help create a deep muzzy grown from the pipe. Now that the stock can has been cleaned out it does not have much or a restriction. Just straight threw air flow. Which is better, any ideas?

I think your gain will be very minimal with the Muzzy pipe. With your current mods I would add one more mod. Grind the donut weld on the inside of the 4 pipes where it connects to the head. That will have your internal opening diameter nearly equal or bigger than the muzzy pipe. Your main difference will be with the sound of the bike and the weight difference of the pipes. Performance will be comparable.
