PC3R MAP CORRUPTED SOMEHOW Has anyone else experienced a condition where the map in your PC3R has been corrupted?
My bike was running like complete ass almost unridable so I finally got around to looking at the map. When I did a 'get all' command it pulled up some rediculous crazy numbers on both the timing and fuel tables!! I mean seriously whacked! Like +22 degrees in somespots or worse! With random timing numbers in every single cell nothing matched or was consistant. The fuel table was just as bad!
I loaded my last known good map back into the bike and everything seems fine now other than it was somewhat hard to start when cold.
I went back 30 minutes later and pulled down the map again and its still fine. But I have no idea what could have caused the map to go crazy like that?
I should have screen captured or saved it so you guys could see how screwed up it was. If it happens again I will do that.
Needs a life
Full throttle!

This can happen if the power to the PC IIIr gets interrupted while loading a map, I beleive. Anytime you are putting a map on, make sure you see the dialog at the bottom of the screen that says the map was loaded and verified. If the map was fine before, but just took a shit, I'd check and make sure you aren't rubbing through one of the wires from your PC IIIr to the fi connector.

RAC, Ive had a weird problem with the 3r. When I first installed it, bike ran fine. Took it for a test ride and everything was ok. Get my leathers on to ride and ride down the street and the bike dies at the stop sign. I start it back up and ride off. I noticed the idle was really low for some reason (~500rpms) So I turn it up some. As Im out on the highway the bike will not run below 5000 rpms. It immediately dies. I was thinking crank sensor at first... but then the bike fires back up after 30seconds rest. Kind of frustrated, I nail it taking the first 3 gears to the rev limiter. Bike accelerates without hesitation. Get to cruising again and then the bike shuts off! Give it a minute and it still wont crank. Nothing out of the ordinary occured and no wires were crimped or broken on the 3r. After realizing I had no allen keys in the tool kit to try to disconnect the PC3r, I got my wife to pick me up.
After I get home and the bike unloaded, I decide to give it another bump. Fires right up! After looking at it on the laptop it had some weird settings, but nothing that would make it not run. (keep in mind I just pulled the 3r out of the box and installed it)
I installed Hanks timing map and the standard Muzzy fuel map and calibrated the TPS. Bike runs flawless again and not one sign of trouble. HPMike told me that every so often the PC gets a weird signal from stock computer and throws things out of wack.
