Son of 11?

I still think ( with the exception of the headlight) the ZX-11D was one of the best looking motorcycles ever. Especially in that Candy Burgundy-ish color. The ZZR fixes the headlight, so there you go! I just hope they didn't neuter it too much.

They have rated it at 152 Hp so 5 more than ZX11 but haven't seen any test yet so it is still a mystery.

It looks great, especially the headlights and bodywork. It looks like a modernized ZX11. The only thing they should've done was come up with a NEW color, or at least two colors.

ZZr1200 thoughts?

It looks nice and futuristic. Better than the concours. But I still prefer the naked bike look and the all around characteristics of my two 99 model ZRX1100s or the newer ZRX1200 instead. I just prefer the riding position, the open wind, the torque at useable highway speeds, and the do everything well aspect of the ZRX and the ELR replica looks in "Green" of course!

I traded a '99 ZRX 1100 in on the ZX-12R I had. That thing was an absolute blast to ride!

Downdraft head indeed! Also has 40mm carbs versus 36mm for the Rex. Comp. is up about a point over the Rex but still haven't heard anything bout cam specs. Hopefully she'll have some hotter ones the ZRX1200 boys can use. Hopefully!

Ok, so I am starting to like this bike but it still is too Katana'ish for my taste.Best looking ZX11-1998.Thats black of course!Kawasaki always holds back on the black paint until they need to boost sales on a particular model.

Black ZZR1200

Canada is not often a nicer place to live but for 2002, ZZR1200 is available in silver and also in black. You can see it at www.kawasaki.ca

Yes it has all these goodies and when I sitted on it in motorcycleshow the seatposition was pretty close to ZX11 but even little more relaxed. It looked quite good in nature - just like to see how does it perform...
