Oil Bypass Shimming Results
Checked the oil pressure with the engine at the fan turn on temp, freshly heated Mobil 1 MXT4 in er. 20psi at idle, 40psi at 4000rpm, 60psi at 6000rpm. It'll approach 90psi when rapping the motor to 8000 or so. This is with a .040 shim in the bypass valve. Be curious to see what it is without the shim. I'd guess it would be adequate.

Cool! Thanks for the results Ken. Did you test it WITHOUT the shim? Or only with it? Curious what the stock readings are (probably in manual...duh Dave.)
So are you racing the Ninja yet, or still just the ZRX? Get the Rex into the 10's yet? I know you were close...

Only checked the pressure with the shim in it, Dave. Manual says a minimum of 23psi at 4000rpm.
Rex has been 9.98 once, 10 teens mostly. Hope to run the big 12 this weekend.
