are we restricted in maps like busa???
The busa guy's say that they are restricted in
the few first shift ? Different maps for gear position
adjust timing to cut power? Are we like that?
They make a box for them to always run in one map.
do the pc111r affect that?

Damn, can't believe no one answered this yet...
I'm pretty sure the answer is 'no'. (I have a 2000 12R)
The Busa's ARE "timing-limited" electronically depending upon the gear they are in, so your boys weren't lying to you.
That device that they can add on to "fix" timing as if they were in 1 gear (it's 5th) is called a T.R.E.- timing retard eliminater.
FYI...according to Brock's website and his testing at a local track that TRE actually hurt the quartermile times. Not saying it's a bad product, he mentions something about how it's good on the street or something, but at the drag-strip...it's costs ya time.

Ya know I have never actually tested for that....
The ZX12 does have a gear sensor for the ecu and I know that it doesn't change the fuel significantly between gears but I have never tested for ign changes.
When I get my 12 back into work I will check that out. More to come in the coming weeks.
