In Arkansas we got a little rain, then sleet, then snow. We like it all!

Kinda fun for dirtbiking, though!!! Hell getting home. Slippery stuff under the snow.

If it were a few degrees colder here it'd be snowing. Be better than the crappy cold/rainy past few days, atleast we'd see something different, lol.

Wrong!

Actually, the effect of global warming isn't lack of snow or perpetual summer - it's unpredictable weather patterns.

So maybe Al was RIGHT. God forbid someone be concerned about the air we breathe and water we drink.

True story....even here in good ol Alberta, normally we should be in the deep freeze with 3 feet of snow from November through to March....but this year, we are +10 one day with rain and hail (like a summer thunderstorm) to -30 and snow the very next day....now that, my friends, makes for interesting road conditions,...

this world has had unpredictable weather patterns before, and will have them again.

this world has been a tropical jungle all the way to the poles before, and will be one again. and this will happen despite, or in spite of, mankind.

this world has been ice to the equator before too...and will be again some day. yet again, despite mankind's insistance otherwise....

nowhere am i saying that we shouldn't care about hte air or environment, but i DON'T think it right to sell a line of BS as fact ....

one stinking volcanic eruption put more pollution in the atmosphere than mankind has EVER done.....yet WE are changing the climate....

Not only do I ride dirtbikes and tear up Mother Earth and drive an SUV that gets 10 MPG, but I play a tree hugger on TV!

Kinda hard to disprove the rising water levels and melting ice caps as 'rumor'.

And yeah - whether that's from CO2 or what, we aren't totally sure. But the ozone hole is getting bigger - not a rumor, either.

Now, whether that is because of my truck or not, I'm not sure. But I rather tend to listen to folks that know what the hell they are talking about.

they say anyway, on all that

my parents live on sea level, zero feet.

if you dig 6 inches you hit water.

they are on chesapeake bay.

this has been the same for as long as my stepdad has lived there.

just not seeing the inundation of the lowlands that they claim is happening

ahh well.

real science and junk science are not differentiated in the news. as long as the word science appears many in media are more than happy to nod and print...

agendas, who benefits if there is this huge scare going on? who gets or becomes more powerful? who gains by this?

sorry if i am so cynical of the folks that "know what the hell they are talking about"

;p
