Joe Rocker Reactor jacket????
Has anyone bought a Joe Rocket Reactor, Pheonix or Santa Fe Jacket? It is made from some type of mesh and looks like it would be very nice for summer ridding. I tried on on it is VERY comfortable. Any info would be appriciated. Thanks

I have the Phoenix
And I like it a lot. It is very cool even on the hottest days. I have worn full perf leather and they are way hotter that this. However the phoenix is not as much protection. It has a lot of armor and in all the right places (elbow, shoulders, spine, etc)but the mesh like material is still not as durable as leather by any means. I have not personaly tested it and I consider that a good thing! But it appears that it would perform well on a slow to medium speed in town kind of wreck, and not as well in a high speed or racing type application. Since it is a nylon type of mesh material I think that it would melt during a long slide. It would still be better than nothing. I make it my jacket of choice for hot summer rides to and from work, or around town and I still opt for leather for more spirited longer rides. I intend to buy the phoenix pants this spring. I wear shorts and a golf shirt as my summer work uniform but I like to have more protection for riding. I will use the phoenix suit as an over suit for commuting. They don't provide any warmth at all. even on a slightly cool july night the phoenix is not enough. I keep a sweat shirt under the seat and this seems to take care of it. The price is excellent and I highly recommend it as long as you are aware of the limitations.
