mpg to flash
what do I need to convert an mpg to a flash?

I think you can't convert from mpeg to flash. They're very different formats. Flash is a more descriptive format, like move object O from x,y to x1,y1. While with mpeg you work with compressed images.
You can embed an mpeg movie in a flash movie though...

Go here -

Download the Beta 5 version. Unzip the file and check it out. This is simple to use. Double click the vid2swf icon and then browse for the video that you want to change. select then click on generate once the blue line is complete, press test. Then you can see your file. Do a save as and that's it!!!!
Now you just have to find a place to upload it to the web!!!!

Right on! Sounds like this should work! Too bad I went ahead and started a web page to post my clips on, might of been a wast of time if this will work! I'll give it a try soon. Thanks for the all the help!

Excelent! looks like it works, and a great clip to try it on! I thought the same thing, that guy had a little "cleaning" to do after that race! Now all I have to do is get a little free time to try this on my clips (My clips are pretty shitty compared to the one above but then again I didn't pay my buddy anything to take em!)

OK...So it doesn't work for me!
Anyone have any ideas why this didn't work for me?? I converted to flash and tried to link a post to a communities page I set up on MSN. Maybe that is the problem?? Does anyone know of a place I can upload my flash's to so I can link to them?? Thanks!

ICP...Thanks! I just E-mailed you nine clips, most of which are pretty dark (crappy), just post the ones that you want and let me know the links so I can post em on here. I am in search of a good camera man (maybe with a better camera) if anybody knows someone near Minneapolis, MN.
