Electrical question

My bike has at the side of the rectifier like 2 tubes with a aluminium piece that has a dial with 5 positions, at the moment is in position 1, its a electrial thing, but I dont see it in the manual.

Thanks for your help.

just looked thru the service manual & i cant see any such thing either. dont remember seeing a dial on my 12 tho. where exactly is the dial? is it actaully on the piece with the large heat sink?that piece is the rectifier/regulator, and the 2 tubes are jsut large connectors (if i'm not mistaken).

That sounds like absolute bullshit.....unless it is a speedometer signal modifier (like a yellow box or a speedohealer).

Marcos,

Can you retreive the trouble codes and post them up here? I would love to see what engine system is affected by disconnecting it. If you can get me that information we can at least narrow it down....and then perhaps be able to determine what the thing actually is.....
