Congrats to all republicans on your win. You really kicked our asses. Picked up some senate seats, enough to pretty much get any Supreme Court justice you want, and your sure to get it least one if not more this next 4 years. And you won the popular vote. It could even be called a mandate.
You now, or shortly will have complete control of all three branches of government. Bush can now pretty much do whatever he wants for the next 4 years.
But you know what they say, be careful what you wish for.

Yeah, but the dipshits in my state voted Cynthia Mckinney back in office. God - I guess what they say about southerners being inbred idiots IS true after all...

frEEk: exactly
Those who seek positions of power should be kept as far from it as possible. Those who do not seek or want positions of power are those best suited to have it. unfortunately those least suited are the ones who get it because they DO seek it
but i have seen a few earnest politicians. just like everything else in life, labeling all individuals based on their race, creed, colour, political affiliation, or job is shortsighted and leads to bad judgement and poor decisions.
i think demcorat zell miller is one such example. he retired from politics, and wanted nothing to do with it. But was asked by his party to serve in a sort of emergency. and he did so. and swore they better find someone else because he was retired. and they kept at it...they'd beg and plead and he'd relent eventually. why? loyalty to his colleagues and his constituents.
but i agree they don;t make a lot of politicians like him any more. the touchy-feely political correctness facade has done a lot of damage to the world.

Falleujia is already rubble, it was rubble with I left there in July 03.......I for one am glad that Kerry isnt in office. Bush isnt the best choice i dont think, but he is a much better choice than Kerry. (In terms of keeping this country safe from terrorism).

that's the part that bothers me HDL. why do people think that? best i can tell, this is just the masterful job bush's spinmasters have put on the campaign, to get people to believe a vote for bush is a vote against terrorism. granted bush is the most outspoken on teh issue and talks tough the most, but who says that's the best approach? maybe moving to quieter techniques would work better at this stage (or since day 1). besides, arent most of those decisions really made by the generals and other top gov staff, and not so much by the president? makes me think that the only difference between kerry & bush in terms of war on terrorism is who's giving the updates.

the quieter techniques worked great for 25 years...

Yes, the top officials make most, if not all,the tactical decisions. but without a president willing to sign off on it, or without a president that has the public image to the same, we are sunk.
as far as the differences between bush and kerry, the largest difference is Kerry's defeatest attitude, and his negative portrayel of everything to do with anything concerning Iraq or Afghanistan.
for contrast, check the difference between Clinton and Bush, and what hasbeen accomplished because of a difference of ideology regarding American security and sovreignty.....

UNITED we stand ,DIVIDED we fall ! It's not about WHO'S right and WHO'S wrong , it's about right and wrong. In the future I see both parties dumping the FAR left and the FAR right. Almost ALL the votes came from the middle.
