No I haven't had a chance to do anything yet Mike. The whole family has been sick all week. Spent most of last night in the hospital w/the youngest (Jason-8.) After a 3+ hour wait, uncaring med workers, IV's, $100 co-pay, $50 in prescriptions, & all the other crap we got home early this am exhausted.

Now the other little guy is looking the same way. Can't keep anything down, pale, sunken eyes, distented stomach, same thing. We are going back to the hospital shortly for the youngest (doc appointment), my half mobile wife's taking him to one side of the hospital, I'm taking the other to emergency...

good god...what's next?

~50...& as I was a "contractor" my lawyer says there's not much I can do...

The job market has gotten so cut-throat out here w/the huge influx (millions) of people from out of the area/new into the USA/CA that backstabbing is becoming a way of life here.

I grew up here & it did not used to be that way....looking to move out of the area if I could find work elsewhere...I don't need to make big bux, I just need to support my family. That's all...

EBD- what line of work are you in? I have some contacts out that way, let me know and I will see what they have, if anything. Remember this; nothing worth attaining ever comes without struggle. I am sure there are better days right around the corner for you!

Dave, as wee all know Im 2 was fired the same time as you. I whant to suport my family, I have started a company of dealing with parts, selling low cost helmets and selling fitch fuel catalyst. I start hard next week but at the moment I have seen interest with people.

Just find a thing to entertain yourself making money until a job comes around, we call it here "chiripeo" this kind of activity that gives you money for the "buble gum and mints".

Hey dude,

My computer problems have gotten worse. Can you do me a BIG favor & let
everyone on Bikeland know I can't even login to the site? (I saw a bunch of
messages for me yesterday, but I can't respond!) I just get an error
message every time I try.

The only website that I can still get on is ZRXOA.ORG, & that may fail at
any time. If anyone wants to get a hold of me, they can PM "DaddyDave"
there. The computer comes apart today, & I might not be able to get in for
some time. I appreciate your help man...THANK YOU!

Life is just a test...... Remain positive and hang in there!!!

The important things in life -
- Your wife is wounded but ALIVE

- Sound like your getting a needed break for your own condition. I am sure that your boy's REALLY enjoy Dad being around full time.
- You have found out how many pals you really have.

Life is not about the job, the money or the crap that we aquire!!!! It's about the loved ones in our life!!!

Stay positive and good things will come!!!!

Hi guys,

Update time. Been awhile now; I haven't been able to get on the site. Not sure why, Bikeland just kept coming up with the same error "Sorry, username not in the db." (That's for you fish?) I don't know why, but suddenly the error is gone & it seems to be working again, so I'm back on Bikeland again as of today. Hip Hip Hurray!

Health update. Neck surgery next week to remove a large "cyst" on my larynx; size approximately 3"x2"x5". I go into pre-op on 12/7, surgery early 12/8, get out on 12/9 if there are no complications. Spent the last couple weeks at the docs/hospitals getting tons of testing, apparently the surgery is more dangerous than I was lead to believe. I won't go into percentages or anything, let's just say there's a small likelihood I may not make it thru the surgery. I'm trying to remain optimistic though, & I should be back online by next weekend if all goes well.

If not? You will be seeing stuff for sale CHEAP by next weekend on the ZRXOA. I've already worked out instructions for selling all my bike stuff if the worst happens. Speaking of the ZRXOA, they did a great donation drive for us, & rose almost $2500 in cash/checks for my family dispite PayPal screw-ups (long-story, Paypal sucks!!!) Even "Slug" here on Bikeland donated too (thank Slug!!!) It helped us get through November, & into Dec. I'm still receiving cards, & even toys f/the kids from the ZRXOA membership, very cool.

Cage Update: (seems like small potato's after the above now eh'?) What's new, well the car crap is about over. The wife's still recovering from the big crash, but at least she's up & around now; doing weekly physical therapy. The Hit & Runner? Long gone: Fake Drivers Lic., fake insurance card, fake license plates on the car; guy fell off the face of the earth. We flat got screwed. My insurance co. AAA totaled out the car; gave us a lousy $2700 for it.

I sold it to salvage f/$200 rather than get stressed out anymore about it. Shame, $25K car w/78K miles, gone. I ended up CC'ing another $3K+ the total check & found another mini-van for $5500+ fees. It's not what I wanted, but it's already got a trailer hitch, & in decent shape for high-mileage, & is perfect for trackdays/towing bikes to the racetrack. That's the bottom line for me, a bike hauler!

That's about it for now; I can't ride again as the doc says "no helmets/chin-straps" until at least 4 weeks after surgery, so mid-05 before I'm riding again. I've pulled the batteries on the bikes, stuck them on the Battery Tender, & installed some Stable in the tanks, so hopefully they will be fine when I'm ready to ride hopefully mid-Jan.

Not much on the job front; I really can't do anything anyway until I'm past this health thing. I'm hoping to be back to work hopefully in Jan/Feb if any of the job openings pan out. Sending resume's everywhere. Keep your fingers crossed, & wish me luck for next week.

That's it for now folks, all the best!

glad to hear yer okay! That's a relatively small scar fer that operation so count yerslef lucky on that as well.. PK's father had it done a few years back (same deal) but he ended up looking like some Mexican drug lords had tried to lop his head off during a botched robbery er something.. so he grew a beard to hide the 5 inch scar... sit back and relax... from my experience being frequently "unemployed" (between contracts) I've learned to really make the best of my time off.. enjoy it.. hang out.. do all o fthe things you've been putting off... when you get back to work you wont have an ounce of time and you'll be wishing you had done more with your free time...

enjoy your kids too!

Well @ 4" it's not exactly small; but they did a pretty good job of hiding it in the "crease" on my neck. Problem is, I got the stitches out yesterday; but Houston, we have a problem. My neck has suddenly swollen up bigger than it used to be; & apparently its infected.

They now have me on "quadruple antibiotics" w/instructions to go back to hospital if I get over 101' fever. I'm about 100.5' right now. I'm holding my breath....& sleeping a lot...really tired all the time...

Hope these horse pills work....4 times a day/monster pills....
