Went to test and tune at dragstrip tonight..
First ever time to run my bike on a dragstrip.. I only made two runs and was taking it easy because of my inexperience but I managed a best of 11.474 and 126.79..Not too shabby for a 56 year old granddaddy if I do say so myself.. It was a blast... Now I can die happy.. Mr Bill

I'll probably stick to test and tune as I'm an old wuss.. Don't know why but I am sore all over from last night at strip.. I think it was from putting my feet down as we had to stop a lot.. Think my hips are not so suited for wide seat on 12R.. it was good fun.. Anyone here from OKC area? There was a streched NOX bike (12R) that ran 8.97 and 168.. It was cooking.. An 04 silver stock also and a couple of others.. If I were only younger....

I am not going to make any excuses.. but a little background... for you youngsters... as I type this I have an oxygen tube in my nose.. I get by without it on my bike but doctors advise me to use it when available.. In house and in my cage.. I have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease from repeated bouts of pneumonia (was just prone to it and always waited to see the doctor until I was bad) aggravated by smoking... Just to be able to ride my 12 is a blessing so to feel well enough to go drag it and actually have a pretty good run was awesome for me... Wish I had been able to accomplish it earlier when I had a lot of energy and nerve... Don't wait forever to live your dreams guys and gals.. and that said... are there any gals riding the 12???????????? Later my friends.....

I met Dr. Joe from PMRA two summers ago at a PMRA event at Thunder Valley.. He was riding a ZRX identical to mine and was really friendly to me.. He won the event (his class bracket racing).. I will definately be going to the events this coming spring for sure.. My son (18) will be getting another bike this spring so we can help each other..
