PC3r Taking a Crap? Bad Timing

I went about 50 miles yesterday on pure JUNK Oil (ND 30) and never stressed the engine (Went above 5K Rpm's below 3.500 so as not to Lug or rev the engine. Just Throttle UP and Down) and the Bike ran great.

Today with Better Oil (Honda 10W 40 Regular Motorcycle Oil) I went out for a more serious ride. The problem was, as soon as I hit 5K, the bike broke up and and ran horrible. SO for 60 miles I rode between 3.5 to 5K but a lot harder on the Throttle!

When I got home, I checked the map and the "GET ALL" there was nothing to get! SOme note about being unable to read the PC3r. I then put in the map again and the Bike ran perfectly.

Talk about bad timing, Just in Time to be a problem for Maxton! I am thinking about getting a PC3 (No r or port) for as little as possible and be ready!

Just like when Dave in Daytona had to deal with my bike before!

I hate the Power Commanders (First one 2001, Second one in 2002 (Since I no longer ride it on the streets an this one has lasted all of 2 years or 3 Maxtons!

U DA MAN!! People here have treated me like Family (No Matter My Political Views) and your offer is appreciated. (I still have TurboBlew's 2.5 pound NOS Bottle, WHich I will be returning after the October Maxton)

I got a rare Headache (Ceiling fan on and very cold with window open. Need cold air to sleep to breathe, but too cold for everything else "D) and while not sleeping realized that maybe my problem is "Vibration".

The new mounting position is on an Aluminum Bracket attached to the rear of the subframe. (In the past, it was on the rubber mounted ECU or on the Plastic in the tail section) So I am going to mount it again with a 1/2 inch piece of medium dense Cell foam rubber and tie straps (as opposed to Permanent Velcro which is very hard) and take it for a ride and check the map to see if it changes. If not change after the ride and the next day, "Maybe" I have resolved this problem. If not, I will get a new PC3 (No "r" or USB Port). I do have time (2 weeks before I need it (For a change). Other than this, everything is going smoothly (Now) on the bike (after spending all year on it and 3 sets of Pistons "Now no JE"!!)

Thanks, MM, The Internet and these Boards are neat. Another person that has a PC3 (No "r" which I think are more delicate) bought a USB Port and is sending it to me FedEx! Too much and Thanks (If you were twice your size, your heart would still need more room

OK!! "We have a Problem Houston. The Bike was taking a dip at around 5,000 but cleaning up and running well the first ride I had. The second ride was a problem but when I re-programmed the PC3r it ran good again.

Today I put it on the dyno and it "Still" has problems at 5 to 7K,

We then Bypassed the PC3r and it ran good and then would not start.

I pulled the plugs to check the Compression and was I relieved to see that I was within 5 pounds of what I was looking for "170" and I wanted 175. Also the engine was then cold / cool!

Anyone know what the "Air Gap" for the Pick Up should be" I cannot find it anywhere in the "Manual" or any other manual! (The Cranking Voltage on the Pick up was also very low so I ordered a new one.

I think Sunday I will change the Throttle Body and see if it is an injector problem. Also I have a Pc3 on the way to make sure I do not have and Ignition map problem!

The even better news is, (for a Change) I am "Early" on this! I still have "2" weeks to go! Can you day "Relieved" on the Compression which means the Valves and Rings are OK and you know I had to replace about 4 of them, and the Pistons twice. I am going to take a Break (until Sunday) and put it in the hands of the Lord and the Skill he gave me! (This reminds me of the Best Finish I had at Daytona. Every Possible thing happened every day of Bike week and before and the Day of the race, the bike could not have run better!)

Good Idea! (You know that I have the "New" Stator from Kawasaki that they say will not leak :Finger and I have seen some oil there already and will look again! They replaced it "out of warranty" and Extended my warranty plus said if it leaked within a reasonable period of time it would be replaced also! So the Bike has gone 200 Miles total in about "8" Months! (Maybe that is just too much to expect )

I just looked and that was "NOT" THE problem! It was not "Dry", but it was no where near where it was in the past either. So I sprayed it out and nothing! (The 20 AMP Battery is doing a real job for me with all of the time I have spent turing the engine over for testing and heating the NOS Bottle)
