My motorcycle wont start up grrr...
Dangit, I get the clutch all in there yesterday, had a good ride, and even drove around the city during the evening night life.
Wake up this morning and the ole 12 wont start up.
I turn the key, the dials do their deal, you can here the fuel injection just fine, but when you press the Start button, all you hear is the fuel injection. The engine isnt cracking, nor turning over.
But every time I rehit the start button, all you hear is the fuel injection.
Any ideas?

I'm going to check my fuses.
My sparkplugs are due for replacement...could this be the prob? Starter? I dunno...

check for pinched wires around the clutch cover area.

I went out and did a thorough lookover, everything seems to be fine in that area.

If your starter is not turning over, then here is what I suggest. (Also you are not hearing the Fuel Injection, but the Fuel Pump making fuel pressure in the Injectors)
It could be your starter button, your starter or a wire to the starter or button. WHen you said you had checked your fuses, did you check the 30 amp fuse "Behind" the Battery? You have to remove the battery to get to it and not only take the frame cover off, but you must take the rear cover off of the nattery tray you pull out. With me seeing your limited mechanicals and intimate knowledge of your bike, I think you did not look there and I would go there first!.
Then if the mail fuse is a OK, then I would look at the wire at the front of the battery tray to see if it is loose because it is the one that goes to the starter. If they are all ok, then I would spray a little (I mean with a straw and just one squirt) in the crack around the Starter button and see if it starts then. I would also track the wire from the button and see where it connects and think about jumping the connector to see if it turns over.
Last an maybe first, see where the charge is on your battery. It could have gone down due to a stator wire connector getting Oil and not allowing a charge to go to the battery!.
A lot of food for thought, but since no one else has said anything, I will!

Thank you...I just took a shower, but I will go out and try all those things.
In regards to the stator wire connector getting oil, when I got back from the desert, the dealer did the recall work on this...does that mean it still can end up being a problem?

The repair does not work 90% of the time and if it does not, it can leak in a few weeks or few months! The new stators leak also and I have a new one!
You did not say if you had checked the "Main" Fuse??

Hey Vincent...
I went back out the bike, ripped off everything to get into the battery tray (wow Kawi needs to redesign access to the battery IMO), and both 30A fuses looked good.
I plugged in the battery to a charger, and it too was good.
I put humpty dumpty back together again, and thought I'd try to start it to make sure everything was put back alright, and she fired right up this time. Holy crappers...whoohoooo...
I'm thinking it was a loose connection somewhere in that battery tray, but I made sure to tighten it all down.
Thanks for directing me to try some things that I wouldnt have even thought of. I just rewarded myself with a tall glass of chocolate milk. I'f you lived closer, I'd mix you up a glass as well.
