V-twin or in-line 4 ?? I am in the market for buying a bigger bike but as i am jumping straight from a 125 to a big bike .. (600 to maybe a 1000cc) i'm not sure which one to get. Anyone got any opinions on this out of experience ???

Bigger bike From a 125cc, Any 600cc would be plenty and would help keep your insurance down. Which 600 would be a topic for debate.

Suzuki SV650 is a great play bike. If you want to go faster, get any 4 cylinder 600.
Decide if you want a "racer tuck" ride or a more comfortable position. I prefer the tuck. But you can't tour long distance comfortably. -ZXtra

ZXtra - SV is a *great* play bike, you are right. But the suspension will let you down once you start to push it. Cagiva has much better suspension, brakes. Course, it's a bit heavier, too.
