Sure, I'll give it a try. The one shown is my red 1270, same mods sans the cf gas tank.

I love the look of those rearsets. If I was only riding short rides or racing, I'd probably get them.

However, I'm wondering how you like the leg position? I'm 6'3" & the STOCK pegs cause cramping on rides over 120 miles (about a tank & I start cramping up in the hips, thighs.) I'm wondering if I can find some adjustable footpegs/rearsets that would allow me to move them slightly forward @ either the same height or slightly lower...

I don't drag the stock pegs, the fairing hits first on both sides...

I'm 6'1", and the position is fine for me. That said, it is definately a change from the stock position. What it does let me do is to put more of my weight on the pegs, and move around on the bike easier, when transitioning from turn to turn.

CARBON SUBFRAME

Swft , White lightening and other fellows..
I've been talking today with Rico
from Safetech. HisOK, had some problems
getting the green card but now hi's happy
Hi would be ready to make the Subframe molding unit
but he won´t start before he has four(4) seroius
orderers... We are two now so, please join us )
price 1500 UsD and it will be a compele rear, subfr
with covers and everything.

Okey,I ordered the tank and the tankcover today.
Nowadays He makes one tank in a week, so I have to wait
about a month..( backorders) I also took the front fender
He said it looks more 2002 than the heavy original.
From Hans I have the other carbonstuff...

Can´t enjoy the riding yet, here is winter!

hmm there is more to come... Sebimoto fairings..
I would like to wait for the new upper molding 2002
perhaps a Carbon ram air box for it also...

and then the funniest part... I have a complete stock motor )
no hurry anywhere ,one step at a time...

regards
Tapani

You demonstrate an amazing amount of faith in someone who's business practices can best be characterized as 'scary'. Here's what I would do: I would willingly put $1500 in escrow, not to be released until receipt and inspection of subframe by me. I'm pretty sure I have a friend that would go for the same deal, he's the one that bought the cf tank.

Hello Tapani,

I've only talked to Rico once, & that was about a year ago. His requirements to do business are scary at best (in my view), so I have yet to order anything. If & when the communications improve where customers can contact him on a regular basis (as any business should), I will consider it.

It's a shame as I think he makes some very good products...
