Carbon Kevlar vs. Carbon Fiber
How do you visually tell the difference?

Q Which is which?
A Carbon fibre is the black and silver looking one.
Carbon kevlar is the yellow and black looking one.

Wouldnt it be easier to tell with a hammer??? Id think that the carbon kevlar would endure more hammer bangings than the carbon fiber???

Wow that really clears it up...but...
What if the bodywork is white? I can see the threads throughout it, but I cant figure out what kind it is. I looked at the website, and I know they offer the kevlar and fiber, but I dont know what I have.
Maybe a pic will help...if your not sure on the white color carbon?

Ok this has yellow in it in patches, so I assume it is carbon kevlar, but what about the threads throughout the rest of the white area:

beans, that's the same bodywork i have (i have the tailsection frmo swft). it's just fibreglass. only the mount points are carbon/kevlar reinforced.

thanks, that cleared it all up cause i was hella confused on it. i have the right-side and left-side lower fairings, which originally came from swft as well....

Looks like fiberglass to me. I work with kevlar/fiberglass/graphite almost daily just lately. Kevlar is more yellow. A lot of flight controls on acft have kevlar/graphite composition.
