Brand loyal?
NEVER! But I sure as hell am "7R LOYAL"! That was what I REALLY "cut my sportbike teeth" on. I almost regreted trading in my '97 7R with almost 69,000 miles on it... for my 12R! Alomst.
I have been SCREEEEEAMING for an updated 7R for OVER THREE YEARS and "THIS" is what KHI gives me and the rest of the world? It's not that I'm down on 'zuks, cuz I'm not. When I rode a '00 GSXR 750, I said that it ws everything the 7R should have been. GOD! I didn't know that they were going to "improve" the 7R by just changing the FUCKING DECALS on a G** DAMN Gixxer!
It's damn near enough to make me ride HONDAS! Excuse me.... I have to go puke now!

Fish...Nothing wrong with Kawasaki's design. Monoque chassis, ram air that works, 1200 cc of Kawasaki that make more horsepower than 1300 cc of Suzuki, more wind protection which = more comfort.
I agree with the fasteners.
Maybe if Kawi just put their own bodywork on the Suzuki frame and motor, it would be more acceptable. They could design a better ram air system and smoke the GSX's. -ZXtra

Red, remember about last sept, a thread about the kawi 1000?
I posted some stuff I had heard back in June, about the "concurrent engineering" approach and some other tid bits about near future kawi products etc? I got 2 emails from someone trying to find out who I had talked to to get that onfo. I wanted to know who was asking where I got that info from. So a friend who knows internet tracking, tracked down what server the origonal email came from. And it was a server in japan. The email had some statements in it to the affect of "If you aquired someone elses property you shouldnt peddle it on the street" type of thing. I dont remember the exact phrase but it sounded like somthing from a chineese fortune cookie. The email was polite but had a concerned overtone. I responded but didnt tell them where I had gotten the onfo. These boards are watched by more people than ya think.

Good replacement for the plastic fasteners is Honda Rancher fender skirt clips.... Have to make the hole a hair bigger but just push them its done.. I am assuming you are talking about the plastic screws and insert..... Down on the bottom where the inner fairing the honda fastener works great just need a hair bigger hole..... I get them free at the Honda shop they always send to many with the bikes.....

good replacement for the fastners would be wood screws... or even staples... or pretty much anything for that matter
