2 day track day on Roebling Rd.

anyone interested in a 2 day track day on the 21-22 of August near Savannah GA let me know. Its a very fair price and I will pm you the name of the guy to get a hold of, along with his phone number.

if you ride both days, it will be $240
if you ride just one of the 2 days, the price is $135.

This track and this organization is nice because unlike most trackday setups this one does not run sessions. Most have a 20-30 minute session per hour for you to run, depending on how many people there are that show up to ride that day. Southern Riders Group limits the number of riders that it has on any given day, and thusly doesnt run sessions. Its and open track day with the only limitations being there can only be 10 bikes on the track at any given time. Seeing that they only sell 13 slots per day, you rarely ever wiat for track time. I have had the track to myself on more than on occasion. In the afternnon the fellas are all too tired to keep going.....lol
We have rider comming from VA, SC, FL, KY, and TN....and the locals as well from GA...So if you are in the area, and are interested.....drop a note in this thread and I will PM you the info, or pm me on here.......hope to see you there....

I guess so...hey Dave can you post that up on the daytonasportbikeriders forum. Frank is really trying to reach out to some of the guys in that area...North Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama....

It really is a decent track, I am driving all the way from Louisville to ride that weekend....

Anyone interested can contact Frank Rimsek@ 912 667-6711 or email him at SISC200@aol.com

well I just got back form GA and the trackday...all I can say is you all missed out on a great oppritunity.......the guy that runs the trackday had a suprise for us....he hired corner workers for the day. This allowed us to run an unlimited number of bikes on the track....on day one we had 27 riders.....and it was an open track ALL day....I put on almost 200 miles on day 1 and pretty much smoked off the new set of SuperCorsas....They had the dunlop trailer there and he had slicks and GP's on hand in all compounds. And they had a suspension tuner there from the AMA, a guy named Dustin. Man is he good...I went out and rode the first few laps, and the bike didnt feel right, so I came in so sit and think about what I needed to do to the front end to get it to quit pushing the front. I talked to Dustin and he says to me" Let me check it out" so he checks the settings and fiddles with this and that....Next thiing I know he is turning prelaid and compressions and rebound, changes EVERY THING....I felt like a schmuck, cause I had just put it liek that...after he set the sag up he says go ride it, do 2 easy warm up laps , then wick it up for 5 laps at least and then coem in and tell him what its doing. So I ride it......and it feels good, but just not planted, so i come in and tell him, he tweaks it again and sends me back out.....its PERFEECT....I went out and clipped off a few 1:23's ina row, which is good for me....espicially seeing as I am completely fuked in turn 1 seeing my speed going in now is 25 MPH faster on the 10R as opposed to the 6RR, it made me have to relearn the brake markers and get confidence in the bike. The brakes are still all stock and with all these factors being the case I am very impressed with the bike. I turned the fastest lap times ever on that track for me on it. I have no doubt that with good brakes on it, and with a few more days on it and relearning turn 1 again, I can get in to the 21's....that would be freaking flying for me....

the 10 is so awsome, there were 4 10's there on day one. and they were the only bikes I couldnt run down and catch on the front straight. The 10 would run down and pass the R1 that was out there and pass it like it was running on 3 cyclinders. GSXR1k's and 750's werent a problem, even a guy on a race prepped 954 was amazed by how fast I could pass him on the front straight. And I was amazed how he passed me back on the brakes in turn 1.....lol

we had 4 guys crash on day 1, with no injuries and no major damage, and no bikes crashed on day2. I think because everyone was riding worn out tires from day 1, so they werent pushing it hard. Day 2 my best lap was a 1:27.8, with the ass end sliding all over, os it was time to put the bike up and head home......

On 2 days on the track, I put on 383 miles and completely wore out a set of Supercorsas, and had and absolute blast....I wish you all could have been there to have the fun we had....later....
