Cell phone down the sewer!
Got out of my truck this morning and walking into my office my stupid fucking cell phone, for the uptenth fuicking time, fell out of the fucking belt clip and I watched it bounce three times right into the fucking sewer and watched it fall six feet and fucking splash in the fucking water from the storms we've had. Fucking fuck fuck fuck! Seething with rage about this cause I was going to go TODAY to get a different fucking clip now I have to go get a new fucking clip and a new fucking phone. FUCK!

Shit I'd I'd try to figure someway to fish it out of there if I knew it would work, it's just rainwater, but there ain't a chance in hell that fucker will work again. FUCK, heading to Sprint in a few minutes to be there at 9am when they open.

Dude, I've seen many cell phones come back from the dead. Get it out of the water, pull the battery and let the thing dry out for a few days. Seriously, you have nothing to lose.

Just got back from picking up a new one, they waived $150 of the $200 cost cause the gal that I bought it from didn't offer me the insurance on it.

Friend of mine dropped his cell phone overboard while fishing. He was looking over the side of his jet sled for it when someone called him. He could see it flashing about 10 feet down. So he tied up at the bank and stripped down. He had his wife call on her cell so he could see his. He dived in and got it back. Pulled the battery and let it dry for three days. It still works a year later!

Otis........ I was in California last week delivering Sanger Boats to dealers for the manufacturer. Stopped in to use the bathroom and MY cell phone fell out of the belt clip for the umpteenth fu%*!#@ time also. It turns upside down on the swivel and BAM! all over the place with the battery coming out.........anyway.......I picked it up and laid it on the toilet paper holder.......washed my hands and walked out, leaving it in the bathroom.  Three or four years I had that phone......all those phone #'s that I have NO IDEA what they are.........just the number that coresponds to the speed dial. So by the time I realized it was gone I was getting into Reno NV on my way home. Stopped into the Sprint store there and got a new phone.....( kept the same phone # of course ) had them shut off the old phone (1550 minutes on my plan........wouldn't some asshole love to get their hands on that.......)got a new case that the phone WON'T fall out of and a new auto charger. They wouldn't wave my $150.00 rebate......I have to send mine in. What a PAIN IN THE ASS it is to lose your cell phone...........

Um........mine came AWFULLY close to going into the toilet instead of hitting the floor. :o Thoughts like that one were racing through my mind....... heh heh heh Public bathroom and all...........

Told ya Chris, those things are pretty tough. I have seen it several times with cell phones, pagers too. Stupid bastard..........

Only one thing Otis, God had nothing to do with this so ease up on him, otherwise there is no Metal in the phone a Magnet could have retrived it?
When I park near an opening, I am even more careful because I have dropped my keys into a Gas plate (After all of the sewer plates for the gas company blew up, they now have slits in them to expell the gas as opposed to fixing the problem)

I asked the lady if I fished it out of the sewer and bought it to her would she do an exchange for me and she just looked at me with a "duh" look. Fuck it.

I just checked the water level in the sewer and it's almost all drained out now. Tomorrow I will fish out the phone and see if I can extract the numbers from it.
