I would like to hear the story as to what happened, maybe he wasnt wearing full gear by the looks of it. Definetly had a helmet, no gloves?? (cuts in his palm). I went down a while back and Im glad I was wearing my gear, couldnt walk for 2 days because I was sored . I bet he'll ride again, but next time he'll consider full gear.

No... not a wire brush, THE brush!
Its nice soft nylon that might as well be stainless steel, it feals like it.
All the hospitals have them just for such an occasion.
Gotta have leathers.

I've had "the brush" on my knee before - and the scraper thing too (mini jack hammer thing to get out the tar). ouchie. and I was wearing a leather jacket/gloves/helmet. My weakness? The damn regular jeans. Now the minimum I'll wear is riding jeans (icon/draggin etc).

Well, ya need the brush or the hammer when you have pavement embedded in the skin/muscle/bone. Happens when you get BAD road rash or a deep cut. Worst I had was the time I was talking about above. I took a fall in jeans - you could see the kneecap bones through the deep cut on my knee. That sucked.

It amazing how the skin always gets skuffed sp?
I crashed one time at SIR at low speed wearing full racing leathers and still managed to get a scar on one of my knees.

Leather, my boys. Leather.
I can attest to the .25 feet that denim lasts on the pavement. No fun.
