map anyone?
i was wondering if anyone had a good map they could give me to get me by till i can get her tuned?
2001, full muzzy, k&n, pc3
the bike was dyno tuned in denver (5000 feet)by the origional owner..
im located in IL...my buddy that picked up the bike and is storing it says first start of the day is hard.. starts and dies twice then lights off 3rd time...one its warm he says it starts,runs and idles fine (he is a HD guy tho ill bet you could pull a plug wire off and it would still scare the shit out of him!)... I figured it would be lean (being from denver and all)but he doesnt think that is the case...
Also this is my first fuelie bike so ive never tuned one before.. I got the usb setup and im fairly computer savy..
any little tips or tricks would be appreciated..
Got my freedom flight ticket today 10 JUL @ 2am!! Cant wait to get out of here and meet my new bike..

go to the Dynojet website and download their basic map for your set up, it will get you by until you get a dyno session...

Doesn't the bike computer compensate for the change in altitude (pressure)?

im not sure..i just assumed the worst since it was dynotuned at 5k

a map that I used on my 2000 when I tuned with a Muzzy pipe should do you very well.
I got it from www.zx-12R.org. Look for the "Muzzy race map". the word 'race' is SO overused. :-/ This map should be good for a very level A/F ratio across the board. Seems like it was around 12.8 - 13.1 ratio.
I can look on my PC for it, but it may take a while, you'd be quicker searching that site for it.
