Soften the front forks?

I have my suspension set up for a 190lb rider (as described elsewhere on this forum), but I find that every bump, etc travels through the bars into my shoulders....
For regular highway riding, what should I adjust to soften the front forks & make the ride more comfortable?

How do you have it setup? Stiffer springs? Thicker oil? How much preload?

Just back the preload off, you'll be able to restore the settings easily that way.

As long as you arent a serious twisty guy you can back off the preload like swft said....do it one turn at a time.....and you could take out just a little bit of compression dampening as well, but just a little, a click or 2......if that doesnt do it, then I suggest sending the forks out to race tech or computrack and let them put in gold valves, emulators, and new springs...it will make the bike ride and handle much better, well worth the money.....

Yeah what HDL said except use the lightest weight oil possible. You can always change later on (easy)
