My problem is solved, mostly.

Well, I went to check the plugs and quickly noticed that the #1 cylinder's stick coil was loose. Humm, what the hell, pulled the coil out and there was a bunch of white gunk on the bottom of it, pulled the plug out and it was soaked with fuel and some other white shit. Also, I pulled the rubber boot off the bottom of the stick coil and inspected the hole that goes on top of the plug and it was rusted out pretty good. Very strange indeed. I pulled the other plugs and they were OK but #4 was a little wet with fuel too. So I replaced the #1 plug cleaned all the plugs and coils. I had already pulled the battery out to "reset" the ecu so I put that back in, plugged the PC back in and fired it up. BAM all four cyliders were firing again. THANK GOD! I left all the bodywork off it and went for a 40 miles ride and it runs soooo much better but it still seems to not be 100% and the exhaust note sounded deeper, a little different. So I went home and pulled the plugs again and they all look good. I called Roger and he wasn't picking up (The bastard was riding in the mountains with the Turbo group. ) He called me back the next day and I described what was going on we ran through all the scenarios of how theis may have happened and what to do now. So this morning I am going to order a new set of plugs, just for piece of mind and I am going to oder a new stick coil to replace the one that has rust in it. I tried to clean it up as much as I could but didn't have anything small enough to get in there, plus if there was a bunch of moisture in there, it's best to get a new one. We are hoping that with new plugs, and a new coil the motor will get to where it was. We also think that what I am hearing from the exhaust may sound different to me because all the bodywork was off the bike and I am hearing more of the motor sound than the exhaust sound. Don't know if that is true or not but we'll see. At any rate, the main problem is solved and thankfully was not a major motor health issue. I want to thank Roger for all his advice and time spent with me on the phone and of course all your advice too.

FYI Roger also told me Brett got a smoking deal on a 2001 Silver ZX-12R fully "loaded" in immaculate condidtion and he's happy as a pig in shit. Good deal Brent!!

Do you think that you didn't put the stick coil back on very good when you changed plugs? Then when we did all the riding in the rain enough moisture found its' way in there to cause the corrosion??? Sounds possible eh?

I think that's what happened. When I changed the plugs and did the valve adjustment I must not have pushed that stick coil all the way down. It must have been fine for the trip and for some reason just decided to come all the way off therefore no spark and fuel build up in the cyclider. As far as the moisture I don't think it was the rain while riding down there as much and the unbelievable storm I drove through coming home. I drove at about 5-10 mph for several miles when I hit Michigan and it was raing so hard most cars were off on the side of the road waiting it out. At any rate at least it's sorted out now. I'll let you know how the new plugs and stick coil turns out.

It is easy to miss getting them all of the way down! I put Dielectric Grease (However you spell it) in the cap and around the seal to ease the in and out ans seal off the water. Funny when I was reading this, my newest problem is #1 also and I checked my Stick Coils also to measure the Ohms and when they were all the same, then I went on to something else (I had done) the Injectors!

Buy a nice size tube. Use it for all electrical connections, Light Bulb sockets all spark plug wires and all electrical connections what may ever see water of any kind!

75 is closer to Detroit but it's not like I can't jump in the truck and drive an hour to meet a brother and his wife for lunch.
